Kate Middleton Criticized for Leaving Baby at Home

The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, has come under fire from some Mumsnet users after leaving her four-week-old baby, Prince Louis, at home while she attended two public events over the weekend.

Middleton was seen at Trooping the Colour, a celebration of the Queen's birthday, and a polo match with her husband, Prince William.

One mother on Mumsnet expressed her disappointment, saying, “I don't normally criticize the Royals but, another day of Kate and William away from their tiny baby for a substantial amount of time, I just don't understand it, when they were this small I couldn't bear to be apart from them.”

Another user commented, “today was clearly a choice, I never understand why people who can leave their baby at the drop of a head bother to have them at all.”

However, other mothers were quick to defend Middleton, stating that not all parents have the luxury of spending every moment with their children, even if they are members of the Royal Family.

One user pointed out, “It's their job to do these things, and it's the jobs of many thousands of parents to go to work and leave their precious babies who they also can't bear to be apart from because they have to pay the bills and keep a roof over their heads.”

Another user added, “As long as the baby is well cared for I really don't see the problem.

No need for all the judgment, maybe she had to be there or maybe it's something she enjoys and wanted to be there to support her husband.”

Meanwhile, others took issue with the fact that Prince George was seen playing with a toy gun at the polo match.

Daisy Torm tweeted, “No child in this day and age should look at any gun as a fun toy.

This looks far too real and I love Prince George, don't get me wrong.”

Just Juliet added, “It's not a joke some people lose their lives because their children thought they played with a toy and it was a real gun.”
