Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Criticized for Response to Haiti Earthquake

and have come under fire for their joint message regarding the recent earthquake in Haiti.

The couple expressed their support for the local community and urged their supporters to donate to charities working in Haiti.

However, biographer Angela Levin criticized Meghan's involvement in the message, suggesting it highlighted one of the reasons the Duchess clashed with royal aides.

During an interview with GB News' Kirsty Gallagher, Ms Levin claimed that Meghan's decision to participate in the message showed her desire to run everything.

Ms Levin also suggested that this trait contributed to exacerbating frictions with royal family aides.

She explained that Meghan was very angry when the palace did not listen to her ideas about modernization within the first few weeks she was there.

Ms Levin continued by saying that Meghan thinks she knows better and always wants to run everything.

Ms Levin also highlighted Meghan's global influence and her previous work with the United Nations.

She claimed that Meghan believes she has global influence and should advance humanitarian dialogue at the UN.

However, Ms Levin questioned whether Meghan's desire to speak on behalf of the UN was appropriate, given that her experience is limited to one speech.

In addition to the criticism over their response to the earthquake in Haiti, and Meghan have faced backlash for failing to mention any British mental health resources in their recent Archewell statement on Afghanistan.

The statement listed a series of mental health resources for followers to navigate during this critical time.

However, royal fans have questioned why Prince Harry and Meghan only listed American charities and ignored royal projects they launched, including Heads Together and Shout.

One commenter stated that it was disappointing that the mental health resources listed were all US-based and only provided services in the USA.

They added that people need help globally, and the Sussexes followers come from all over the world.

Another fan commented that the statement was likely written by an American, and they tend to think the world revolves around them.

previously worked with the United Nations as UN Women Advocate for Political Participation and Leadership in 2015.

She continued to advocate for female education and empowerment as she embarked on her royal career following her marriage to Prince Harry in 2018.

Earlier this month, UN Women dedicated a special tweet to the Duchess of Sussex to wish her a happy 40th birthday.

In their message released on the website for their non-profit organization, Archewell, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex expressed their belief that when any person or community suffers, a piece of each of us does so with them.

They shared the list of charities as resources for followers' mental health, which they hope will be useful during this critical time.

Despite the criticism, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex remain committed to their charitable work and continue to advocate for causes close to their hearts.

Meghan's global influence and her work with the United Nations have brought attention to important issues, and the couple's dedication to mental health resources is admirable.

As the world continues to grapple with ongoing crises, it is essential to support those in need and come together as a global community.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's efforts to raise awareness and support for various causes are a step in the right direction, and we can all do our part to make a difference.

Let's take care of ourselves and each other during these challenging times.
