Meghan Markle Joins Royal Family on Buckingham Palace Balcony for Trooping the Colour Celebrations

, the new Duchess of Sussex, made her official debut on the iconic balcony of Buckingham Palace on Saturday during the Trooping the Colour celebrations to mark the Queen's official birthday.

The event was attended by members of the monarchy, including , Prince William, , Prince George, and .

stayed home during the festivities, while and , Duchess of Cornwall were also in attendance.

The day began with a grand military parade, which included over 1,400 soldiers, 200 horses, and 400 musicians.

Meghan and Harry shared a carriage ride, while Kate and rode in their own horse-drawn carriage as they all made their way to Buckingham Palace.

The entire royal family then gathered together on the balcony to watch an iconic fly past by the Royal Air Force.

Meghan's first appearance on the balcony, which comes just weeks after she wed , is symbolic of how she has been welcomed into the royal family.

The Duchess of Sussex's dress was by Carolina Herrera and her head by Philip Treacy.

The new 36-year-old princess, a former US actress from hit US TV show Suits, showed off her stunning wedding ring with a flick of her long, dark hair as she passed cheering crowds in their thousands who flocked to the capital for the bash in honour of the Queen.

Glamorous Meghan appeared to be listening intently to her uniform-clad husband, before bursting into giggles as the horse-drawn carriage passed scores of fans.

Husband and wife were greeted by the sight of hundreds of guardsmen in their scarlet tunics and bearskins lined up on the parade ground, Henry VIII's former jousting yard.

The Trooping the Colour celebrations are an annual event that marks the official birthday of II.

The event dates back to the 17th century when King Charles II introduced the military procession to mark his birthday.
