Meghan Markle Shines During Her Third Royal Appearance with Prince Harry in Wales

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made their third official appearance together as they arrived in Wales.

The engaged couple greeted the crowds of fans as they stepped out at the historic Cardiff Castle, which is one of Britain's most popular historical sites.

As an American actress, Meghan was tasked with the challenge of waving and greeting her adoring fans for the first time.

So how did Prince Harry's soon-to-be wife fare at this challenge?

We spoke to body language expert Judy James about how the royal couple appeared to be coping.

Judy believes that Meghan dazzled at this engagement, but this time, it was Prince Harry who took charge.

The royal did a fine job of weaving her in and out of the crowds, allowing her to stop and walk alone at various moments, by allowing her fiancé to take control.

The body language expert believes that the Suits star came across as modest and humble.

Brand Meghan was on full display in this third royal appearance from the engaged couple and in terms of body language and styling it was all about modesty and subtlety combined with what looks like a natural desire to lead and take charge.

Meghan's stylishly severe masculine tailoring and middle parted hair only emphasised the warmth of her facial expressions, showing she knows how to present her personal charisma to best advantage.

Her slightly self-diminished posture and dipped head provided the modest look that won the crowds over as it signals a lowering of status from a woman about to become a royal.

Harry seemed to take this lead on this outing, walking ahead and ushering his fiancé towards the crowds with one hand.

However, their partial hug gesture could have revealed a very even-handed power play for the royal couple.

In some photos, the royal can be seen with his hand directing Meg.

While this is a sign of assertiveness, Judy believes that they were both supporting one another.

Harry took a more dominant role here, walking ahead and stretching a hand back to stir Meghan towards the fans.

This part embraced between the pair forms a mutual staring gesture though, with both holding an arm around the other's back.

At various points during their public appearance, Meghan looked towards the prince.

While some may interpret this as nerves, the body language expert thinks her expressions were reassuring.

Meghan's face checking of Harry looks more about the look of love than anxiety and a need to read approval.

The warmth of these glances will offer Harry encouragement rather than the other way round.

Even though Harry seemed to be leading the way, his fiancé looked comfortable, genuine, and happy.

Meghan's confidence signals became even stronger when she stood by herself.

Here she is slightly self-diminishing but her arms are straight down at her sides with no look of tension in her hands, showing strong performer confidence.

Her smile is a winner.
