Prince Harry Wants It Both Ways, Says Commentator Kevin Maguire
Prince Harry's recent comments about wanting to cut ties with the monarchy and move forward with his family have been met with skepticism from some quarters.
Commentator Kevin Maguire, speaking on Good Morning Britain, argued that the Duke of Sussex was profiteering off his name after stepping down as a senior royal.
Maguire suggested that the only reason Harry was getting paid for speaking roles was because he is part of the royal family.
He admitted that the Duke was caught in a bind but also wanted it both ways – to have the royal titles and the ability to do what he wants to make money.
“If Prince Harry said I want you to stop calling me Prince Harry, when he says I do not want to be the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, then I will believe he has left the royal family and wants to put it behind him,” Maguire said.
“He wants the titles and the access, he is in a bind here.”

Maguire went on to admit that the Duke of Sussex was in a difficult situation as he attempted to move forward with his life.
“The only reason they want to hear about him, and give him all this money and give him a platform is because he was part of the royal family,” he said.
“If he was the son of a plumber he would not be there.”
Good Morning Britain host Susanna Reid interrupted to defend the Duke of Sussex and him and Meghan keeping their royal titles.
She did go on to criticise the Duke for getting too personal in his confessions about mental health.
“I take issue with that, because I don't think it matters whether he has got the royal title or not,” Reid said.
“He is still a royal.
I think that part is irrelevant.
My issue with it is that it is just so personal.
I absolutely support him talking about mental health and de-stigmatising therapy and making sure it is seen as a brave thing to do to admit your weakness.
To ensure that it is not seen as a shocking sort of shame.
I just think that when you divulge and drag other people in it you are now impacting other people.”
