Meghan Markle’s Biracial Identity: A Royal Surprise

When first burst onto the scene as 's girlfriend, no one knew that she was biracial.

In fact, it wasn't until the second season of Suits that she even identified as a person of color.

Creator Aaron Korsh admitted in Tom Bower's book that he had no idea Markle was biracial until she finally decided to disclose that information.

Unfortunately, some fans were not pleased with the casting of Wendell Pierce as her father, as they had assumed she was a Caucasian woman.

The racist comments towards Pierce were disgusting, with some commenters expressing disbelief that the “hot chick” they had been hoping to date was half black.

Even King Charles was reportedly unaware of Meghan's biracial identity when he first met her.

Trending:

According to royal expert Christopher Anderson's book, The King, The Life of King Charles III, the former Prince of Wales found Meghan to be “absolutely delightful.”

However, he had no idea that she was born to a Caucasian father and an African American mother.

Anderson claims that Charles later told an American friend, “Not that it would have mattered at all, of course, but no, I didn't realize that until much later.”

Social media also brought up Meghan's lineage when an online profile from 2013 surfaced, listing her as Caucasian.

Some users accused her of lying about her race, claiming that she had never referred to herself as black before aligning herself with the Black Lives Matter movement.

However, others pointed out that Meghan had always identified as mixed race and preferred to be seen as white rather than mixed.

Despite the controversy surrounding her racial identity, Meghan has continued to use her platform to advocate for social justice issues.

She has aligned herself with the Black Lives Matter movement, not because she wants to use it as a way to launch herself into politics, but because she cares deeply about the cause.

Meghan has also been vocal about her experiences with racism, including the discrimination she faced as a biracial actress in Hollywood.

In the end, Meghan's biracial identity should not be a source of controversy or shame.

It is simply a part of who she is, and one that she has embraced and celebrated throughout her life.

As we continue to strive towards a more inclusive and accepting society, it is important to remember that diversity is what makes us stronger, not weaker.

Meghan's story serves as a powerful reminder of this fact, and we should all be inspired by her courage and resilience in the face of adversity.
