Meghan Markle’s First Solo Project: A Charity Cookbook to Support Grenfell Tower Fire Victims
The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, has made her first official solo project since becoming a royal.
She has championed the charity cookbook Together, which is aimed at raising money to support victims of the Grenfell Tower fire.
This book is a collaboration between the community kitchen and women affected by the tragedy.
On Thursday, September 20th, Meghan Markle made a surprise appearance at a reception held at Kensington Palace to launch the cookbook.
The event was her first royal engagement since her wedding to Prince Harry in May.
Her husband, Prince Harry, accompanied her to the event, along with her mother, Doria Ragwind, who has been a hit with the British public since the royal wedding.

Miss Ragwind, a Californian social worker, is reportedly head over heels with pride at her daughter's involvement with the charity project.
She spoke about her love for the project, saying, “I'm so glad I can put the face with the recipes.
I'm going to tell everyone I met her.
I'm going to make everything.
I'm serious.”
At the event, mother and daughter were pictured speaking to guests at a gorgeous outdoor reception at Kensington Palace, where Meghan got stuck in with the cooking.
In her first royal speech, Meghan said, “Working on this project for the past nine months has been a tremendous labor of love.
The funds raised will go towards the Hubb Community Kitchen for Grenfell survivors.”
The Duchess of Sussex had been privately visiting the cooks in preparation for the book.
The recipes are inspired by dishes from the Middle East, North Africa, and Europe.
