According to reports, the 61-year-old is preparing to give a groundbreaking interview with , during which she will reveal details of her daughter's struggles.

Ragland, who is expected to play a key role in her daughter's upcoming wedding, was seen leaving Winfrey's $88 million California home last week.

Although the reason for her six-hour visit has not been confirmed, sources suggest that the pair were discussing ideas for the tell-all interview.

During their conversation, Winfrey and Ragland reportedly spoke at length about the issue of race and how some people had reacted badly to Meghan and Harry's relationship.

Both women have experienced racism in their own lives, making the issue close to their hearts.

However, it is understood that the interview must be approved by Meghan, Harry, and Buckingham Palace before it can be recorded.

previously condemned the racist attacks on his girlfriend in a statement released shortly after their relationship became public knowledge in 2016.

In the statement, he described how Meghan had been subjected to a wave of abuse and harassment, both publicly and privately.

This included racial undertones in comment pieces, outright sexism and racism on social media, and even a smear on the front page of a national newspaper.

Earlier this year, the couple were also at the center of an anthrax scare when a suspicious letter containing white powder was sent to St James Palace addressed to Harry and Meghan.

Police treated the incident as a racist hate crime and raised concerns about security at the royal wedding.

Meghan has previously spoken about the difficulties she has faced with race in Hollywood, describing how being biracial paints a blurred line that is equal parts staggering and illuminating.

Ragland's visit to Winfrey's home comes as expectations mount for her daughter's wedding to Prince Harry, which is due to take place on May 19 at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle.

The mother of the bride is expected to arrive in London well before the wedding so she can be part of all the fun and festivities and see her daughter in her wedding dress.

It is clear that the issue of race will continue to be a significant topic of discussion in the lead-up to the royal wedding.

With Meghan's mother now set to speak out about her daughter's experiences, it is hoped that this will help to raise awareness of the issue and encourage people to take a stand against racism in all its forms.
