Meghan Markle’s Mystery Matchmaker: The Woman Who Set Up the Royal Couple

With just a few weeks to go before Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tie the knot, preparations are in full swing to make their wedding as perfect as possible.

While palace officials are busy making guest lists and sourcing the cake, the couple has been quietly thanking the woman who made it all possible.

During their first joint interview, Meghan coyly referred to a mutual friend who set her and Harry up on a blind date.

Despite wanting to protect her privacy, the identity of this woman has been revealed as Misha Nanu, a Bahrain-born fashion designer who met Meghan in Miami through a mutual friend.

It was Misha who decided to intervene with fate and put Meghan in touch with Harry.

“We were introduced, actually, by a mutual friend,” Harry revealed in their TV interview.

“We'll protect her privacy, but it was literally through her that we met once and then twice, back to back, two dates in London last July, beginning of July, and then it was about three, maybe four weeks later that I managed to persuade her to join me in Botswana.”

The couple camped out together under the stars for five days, which Harry described as “absolutely fantastic.”

“So then we were really by ourselves, which was crucial to me to make sure we had the chance to get to know each other,” he added.

When asked whether it was a set-up, both Harry and Meghan laughed and confirmed that it was indeed a blind date.

Meghan said she only had one question before their first date: “Is he nice?”

Harry fell head over heels for the 36-year-old actress on their very first date.

“I've never watched Suits and I've never heard of Meghan before and I was beautifully surprised when I walked in and saw her,” he revealed.

“I thought I better sit down and have some good chat.

The fact I fell in love with Meghan so incredibly quickly was confirmation to me that all the stars had aligned.

It was perfect.”

Meghan and Misha quickly became great friends after meeting in Miami.

Misha has a self-named ready-to-wear range of women's wear and her fashion uses the principles of sustainability and environmental kindness to cut waste and excess production.

Speaking about Meghan recently, Misha revealed, “Her greatest strength is her compassion for others, much of the work she does is unseen by the public.”

The couple has been tight-lipped about their relationship, but in their interview, they revealed that they are a fantastic team and want to have an impact on the things they care about.

Harry said he knows Meghan will be unbelievably good at the job part of it as well which is a huge relief for him.

As the wedding day approaches, the world eagerly awaits the union of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
