Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Future as Royals: A Star Trek Legend Weighs In

Star Trek legend Marina Sirtis has expressed her opinion that and have no way back to the royal family.

The actress, best known for playing Diana Troy in Star Trek: The Next Generation, shared her thoughts on the couple's decision to step down from their royal duties in 2020.

According to Sirtis, the move was ill-advised, and the pair should not have aired their dirty laundry in public.

Sirtis also agreed with Prince Albert II of Monaco, who previously suggested that the couple's Oprah interview did not have to be laid out in the public sphere.

She believes that it will be difficult for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to return as royals.

“I worry now that there is no way back for them,” she explained.

“We loved Harry.

I loved him.

With the Invictus Games, his mental health work, and insisting on going to Afghanistan when he was in the army when he wanted to do his bit.”

Regarding the Duke and Duchess' interview with Oprah, Sirtis suggested that the matter should have been handled privately.

“I don't agree with people airing their dirty laundry in public.

I've never done it.

There are things I could say about my family, but I'll say it to them.

I think they were ill-advised in doing this,” she said.

Sirtis also addressed the social media backlash she faced after tweeting about Piers Morgan's comments directed towards Meghan on Good Morning Britain.

The journalist claimed he didn't believe the Duchess after her Oprah interview.

Sirtis admitted she agreed with Morgan but later backed down after a torrent of online criticism.

A royal expert said this kind of display from the former Suits star was what feared after Meghan and Harry's public exit from the House of Windsor.

's confession reportedly has placed yet another roadblock between herself and the royal family.

In a letter, Meghan called on lawmakers to push through a comprehensive plan for paid parental leave.

She spoke of the struggles her parents Doria Ragland and Thomas Markle faced while raising her.

Ragland worked as a yoga instructor, while Thomas Markle was a television lighting director.

However, a royal author claimed this public display was what feared.

Meghan is no longer a senior working member of the British royal family.

Therefore her remarks are not bound by those made by her husband, , who is still in the line of succession and a British citizen.

She'll now start talking about her political views and ambitions.

“And she might stir them up, which then becomes embarrassing,” said Jobson.

Mr. Jobson added, “She's sailing close to the wind, but will they say anything, the royals?

No, they won't.

The fact is, they knew this was what she was going to be doing.

She was always a political girl.

Since the age of seven, she was writing letters to Hillary Clinton.”

Members of the British royal family are expected to remain politically neutral.

“I know how politically charged things can, and have, become,” Meghan wrote.

“But this isn't about right or left.

It's about right or wrong.

This is about putting families above politics,” Meghan said.

“And for a refreshing change, it's something we all seem to agree on.

At a point when everything feels so divisive, let this be a shared goal that unites us.

I'm not an elected official, and I'm not a politician.

I am, like many, an engaged citizen and a parent,” the Duchess of Sussex wrote.

In conclusion, the public continues to speculate about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's future as royals.

Marina Sirtis, a Star Trek legend, believes that the couple has no way back, and their decision to air their dirty laundry in public was ill-advised.
