Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Charity Donation Allegedly Comes Up Short

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been recently criticized for allegedly not fulfilling a promised charity donation.

A tabloid claims that the couple was short $110,000 in a recent charity donation, suggesting that they are not as generous as they claim to be.

According to the Globe magazine, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry failed to donate the promised amount to an unnamed charity.

The magazine alleges that the couple promised to repay the debt within a year, but their reputation had already been damaged.

The magazine points out that even before signing their multi-million dollar deals with Netflix and Spotify, the couple was good for the money.

Apparently, their finances were tied up in their Sussex Royal Foundation, which they later rebranded as the MWX Foundation to remove the word “royal” from their business.

However, despite the foundation's liquidation process, the tabloid insists that the couple is still profiting from their royal status.

From their media deals to their bombshell interviews, the Sussexes are still well within the public consciousness.

But recent polls reportedly show that the Sussexes' popularity is dropping.

Moreover, last month, the Daily Mail claimed that Harry and Markle's MWX Foundation, formerly Sussex Royal, owed around $108,270 to a charity.

The foundation promised $293,000 to the charity but only paid about $185,000 over time.

Harry promised to pay the outstanding funds within a year, but paperwork reviewed by the Mail revealed they still have an outstanding balance with the creditor.

However, there was a reasonable explanation for this.

Shortly after the original debt was revealed, the foundation went under investigation from the UK's charity commission over an amount of money transferred to Harry's Eco Travel Initiative.

The investigation found that everything was done legally and above board, but the investigation temporarily froze the foundation's finances, delaying their payment to the creditor.

On the other hand, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been warned they can't keep trashing people by a royal expert as they seek to mend relations with the royal family.

Royal editor at The Mirror, Russell Myers, has warned the couple that they can't keep trashing people if they hope to reach better terms with the royal family.

Myers said on the Pod Save the Queen podcast, “It's about time they got on with their own life, not necessarily worrying about other things going on.

I think the business of the monarchy has to be treated very differently, and the business of their life and what they want is up to them.”

He added, “As long as they don't start doing other interviews, which I have said before I don't think will be the case, I think they will pop up once again.

We've got Harry's memoir coming out next year, that is going to be absolutely explosive one would presume.

They need to decide what sort of relationship they want, you can't keep trashing people.

I think they really need to decide what they want.

Arguably they want to have their cake and eat it.”

If the couple wants to have a relationship with the Queen and represent the British monarchy, they need to toe the line a little bit, according to Myers.
