Prince Harry Plays Polo in California with Friends David Foster and Catherine McPhee

Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, was spotted playing polo in California on Sunday with friends David Foster, 72, and Catherine McPhee, 38.

The game took place at the Santa Barbara Polo and Racquet Club, where the Royals' Los Padres team lost the match 12-11.

David Foster, who is just a year younger than Prince Charles, has been described as a father figure to Harry and has played a key role in his life since he and Meghan left the UK.

Foster also helped the couple find their Canadian hideaway before they moved to California.

Catherine McPhee, an American Idol runner-up, is married to David Foster and the couple has a one-year-old son named Rennie.

Harry's wife Meghan Markle, along with their two children Archie, 3, and Lilibet, 1, did not appear to be present at the polo match.

It is well known that Prince Harry has had a strained relationship with his father Prince Charles and his brother Prince William since he and Meghan quit as royals and moved to the US.

However, his bond with David Foster has reportedly grown stronger over the past few years.

David has also been instrumental in arranging private hideaways for the Sussexes during Christmas holidays and even helped arrange a secret escape for Meghan's mother Doreen and then seven-month-old Archie.

He used his contacts and knowledge to find exclusive locations for the family.

Catherine McPhee attended the same Catholic school as Meghan, called Immaculate Heart, but was only there for middle school while Meghan was there for both middle and high school.

They acted together in school musicals, and Catherine describes Meghan as always being put together and great.

David Foster's wife, Catherine, explained in an interview with Access Hollywood that her husband is the “resource guy” and knows all the places.

She hopes that Harry and Meghan will find a place where they can really settle down.

Catherine also revealed that her husband and Harry share a special bond and are like father and son.

She posted an Instagram snap in 2019 featuring a picture of her and Meghan from their school days, with the caption “Meghan and I did musicals together as kids.

She grew up to be the Duchess of Sussex and I grew up to star on the West End, so same life if you ask me.”

Overall, Prince Harry's relationship with David Foster and Catherine McPhee seems to be strong and supportive.

While he may have had a strained relationship with his royal family, he has found comfort in the company of his close friends in California.
