Prince William and Kate Middleton Welcome New Puppy to Their Family

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have added a new member to their family, a cute cocker spaniel puppy.

, , and are reportedly besotted with the new addition.

According to sources, the puppy was a gift from Kate's brother, James Middleton.

The family got the puppy shortly before their beloved dog, Lu Pu, passed away in November at the age of nine.

It is believed that and were involved in the decision-making process for the new puppy.

The adorable pup, who is Lu Pu's nephew, is now living comfortably at Anmer Hall, the Cambridge's Norfolk residence.

A source close to the family said, “The new puppy is adorable, and the whole family is besotted.

They were devastated when Lu Pu passed away, but got the new puppy before he died.

It was hoped that a younger dog would give Lu Pu some company and give him a little more life and energy.”

Lu Pu was an integral part of the family and held a special place in Duchess Catherine's heart.

He was bred from her parents Michael and Carol's own dog Ella and was born in a litter back in 2011.

The royal couple received Lu Pu as a Christmas gift that same year.

The canine companion has appeared in several photographs alongside the family and was also the inspiration for a children's book called The Adventures of Lu Pu, the Royal Dog, The Secret of Windsor Castle, written by A.B.

The couple received an outpouring of support from their 12.1 million followers, with many offering their condolences.

Kate's brother, James, also shared his own touching tribute to Lu Pu, saying nothing can ever prepare you for the loss of a dog.

He wrote, “For those who have never had a dog, it might be hard to understand the loss.

However, for those who have loved a dog, know the truth.

A dog is not just a pet.

It is a member of the family, a best friend, a loyal companion, a teacher, and a therapist.”

Despite the sadness of losing Lu Pu, the Cambridge family is delighted to welcome their new puppy.

The new addition is sure to bring joy and love to the family, especially to Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and .
