The Jordanian royal's visit to London comes just weeks after King Abdullah marked the 20th anniversary of his rule.

He ascended to the throne on 7 February 1999 following the death of his father, King Hussein.

The family was in the UK to attend a conference called “Jordan, Growth, and Opportunity,” where Queen Rania gave a speech about economic development and growth.

Glamorous Rania, born to a notable Jordanian family of Palestinian descent, attended school in Kuwait before studying for a business degree in Cairo, Egypt.

The bilingual beauty, who also speaks French, met her future husband at a dinner party hosted by a mutual friend in 1993.

They were married that same year and are parents to Crown Prince Hussein, 24, Princess Ayman, 22, Princess Alma, 18, and Prince Hashim, 14.

Princess Anne's elaborate curtsy is not new to the world of royalty.
