Queen Elizabeth II’s Personal Jewellery Collection: Who Will Inherit Her Treasures?
The passing of Queen Elizabeth II has left many royal fans wondering what will happen to her personal jewellery collection.
The Queen was buried wearing her wedding band and pearl earrings, but according to the Daily Mail, she owned over 300 pieces, including 34 pairs of earrings, 15 rings, and 98 brooches.
When she wasn't wearing a particular piece, her jewellery was stored in the Queen's gallery at Buckingham Palace.
It has been speculated that Queen Consort Camilla and the new Princess of Wales Catherine will inherit the majority of her possessions.
Majesty Magazine Editor-in-Chief Ingrid Stewart told the Daily Mail that the late monarch lightly decided who would receive which items years before her death at the age of 96.
She continued, saying that Camilla will need a large collection to support her constitutional role.

Of course, there are other female members of the royal family who would also be in the running to receive some pieces, including her daughter, Princess Anne.
And it appears that she has inherited a necklace that had a very special place in the heart of her late mother, Queen Elizabeth II, as she was spotted wearing the jewellery earlier this week.
The item in question is the former monarch's three-strand pearl necklace, and it holds an extra special meaning to both the Princess and her late mother as it was gifted to Her Majesty from her father King George VI, Anne's grandfather.
The Princess Royal was captured wearing the incredible piece when she stepped out at the English-speaking union in New York, and it was dazzling.
Anne paired the precious tribute with a gorgeous set of pearl earrings, which made for a perfect match.
The unique necklace honours the close bond that the Queen shared with her father, who passed away in 1952.
David Douglas, a jeweller, explained to the list, Elizabeth loved the three-strand pearl necklace so much that she had an identical one made.
In 1953, a third three-strand pearl necklace joined her collection.
It was a gift from the Emir of Qatar, and the only difference among the three was that this version sported a diamond clasp.
Anne isn't the only one who has donned the Queen's pearls since her passing.
Catherine, Princess of Wales, has also been spotted in one of the monarch's three-strand pearl necklaces, which she wore during a lunch reception at Buckingham Palace.
The palace confirmed the granddaughter-in-law of the Queen was wearing lesser-spotted pearls from Her Majesty's collection, which are believed to have been gifted to Prince William's wife.
Catherine has also honoured the late Queen by wearing her jewellery on a number of occasions since her passing, including at the Queen's Coffin Procession, where she wore a brooch previously worn by the Queen on a visit to Seoul in 1999.
