Queen Intervenes to Give Prince Louis HRH Title

The Queen has intervened to change the official name of , the third child of Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge.

A long-standing rule established by King George V in 1917 would have prevented from having an HRH title.

However, the Queen overruled this and gave him the title of His Royal Highness Prince Louis of Cambridge.

Prince Louis was born on April 23, 2018, and was named after 's mentor, Lord Louis Mountbatten, who died in an IRA bombing in 1979.

His middle name, Charles, is a tribute to his grandad, the Prince of Wales.
