Royal Couple William and Catherine Get Hands-On at Birmingham Indian Restaurant

The Prince and Princess of Wales recently made a public appearance in Birmingham, which left everyone buzzing.

The dynamic duo was in town to celebrate the city's diverse culture and heritage and hosted an event for local business owners.

Being the friendly and down-to-earth royals that they are, they couldn't resist helping out at a local Indian restaurant called Indian Streetery.

The family-run independent restaurant is a true gem in the city, offering authentic Indian street food that's hard to come by in Birmingham.

William and Catherine had an absolute blast at the restaurant, getting hands-on in the kitchen and trying their hand at making handmade roti, a simple flatbread often served with cooked vegetables and curries.

William even took a booking from a customer over the phone.

The Indian Streetery is run by the Sharma family, and head chef and mum Meena Sharma came up with the original vision for the restaurant, which started as a street food stall in Digbeth before quickly gaining a following and becoming a firm favourite at the city's Digbeth dining club.

The restaurant is home to an all-female chef team, making it a true celebration of women in the culinary industry.

But that's not all the royal couple got up to in Birmingham.

They also met with future leaders and local business owners from Birmingham's creative industry sector at an event in the rectory, a dynamic venue overlooking the city's historic jewellery quarter.

Catherine looked absolutely stunning in a deep plum wrap-around midi dress paired with matching heels, and she even curled her brunette locks for the occasion.

William, always the dashing prince, looked smart in a blazer, open-collared shirt and trousers.

It's not just a day out for the royal couple as they continue to work on their public engagements.

Just before the trip, William made a rare TV appearance on ITV's Lorraine to thank the host for her ongoing work on No Buts campaign, whilst Catherine held an early years meeting at Windsor Castle.

The royals are always busy, even with a big event like the King's Coronation just around the corner.

The timing of their visit is also worth noting as it comes just three weeks before the King's Coronation, which will take place on May 6th.

While the event is sure to be a historic moment, raw expert Teresa Dunlop believes that it will be less impactful than 's coronation over 70 years ago.

Dunlop cites the change in times and the fact that the event will be watched by a much larger global audience as reasons for this.

However, the coronation is still sure to be a momentous occasion, and it's been revealed that will be playing a major role in his grandfather King Charles' coronation.

The nine-year-old prince, who is second in line of succession to the throne, has been named as one of his grandfather's pages of honour for the historic event.

As part of his role, he will be carrying his heavy robe and will be making sure that his grandfather doesn't fall during the procession through the nave of Westminster Abbey.

It's heartwarming to see the royal family getting involved in local businesses and celebrating the diverse cultures that make up the UK.

William and Catherine's recent outing to Birmingham is just another example of their commitment to using their platform for good and promoting causes that are close to their hearts.

With taking on his own role in the upcoming coronation, it's clear that the royal family's legacy is still going strong.
