Senior Royals Fear Harry and Meghan Could Overshadow Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Celebrations
The upcoming Platinum Jubilee celebrations of the Queen's 70 years of service are causing concern among senior royals.
The fear is that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could upstage the event and detract from commemorating the Queen's momentous milestone if they decide to attend.
The couple's brief meetings at Windsor Castle with the Queen and Prince Charles were to discuss attending the celebrations with their children, Uchey and Lilibet, who will turn one during Jubilee festivities and whom the Queen is still yet to meet.
The Prince of Wales has reportedly expressed concerns to his inner circle that his son and daughter-in-law could dominate the Jubilee if they do attend.
A royal source revealed that Charles wants the Platinum Jubilee to focus only on the Queen.
Many are disappointed that Andrew overshadowed Prince Philip's Thanksgiving service and don't want the Meghan and Harry circus to hijack the Jubilee.

This is the Queen's show and should be about her and her 70 years of service rather than Meghan's fashion, the kids, and Harry.
They don't want it to become the Harry and Meghan show.
Charles and all the family are agreed on that.
There are also concerns that Netflix will want to film Harry and Meghan at Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
Currently, Harry and Meghan's Netflix entourage are following their every move at the Invictus Games in the Netherlands as part of a £113m deal the Sussex have with the streaming platform.
This has raised concerns that Netflix will want behind-the-scenes footage of the Platinum Jubilee also, which includes family at Trooping the Colour and a royal family gathering on the Buckingham Palace balcony.
An insider revealed that the royal family will be watching on at Invictus events this week concerned where Netflix will be when the Jubilee comes round.
They will want to film behind the scenes or be in the crowd at the Jubilee as it's better footage for the documentary.
Harry and Meghan have told the Queen she will get to see her great-grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet, in the near future.
A source close to the Sussexes said both the Duke and Duchess are very mindful the Queen is getting older and has had health issues associated with her great age.
They have made it clear they are certainly planning to return to see the Queen with their family in the near future.
According to a royal expert, Harry and Meghan Markle's secret visit to the Queen was made possible by Kate and Prince William's absence.
Military historian Christopher Joll claimed the couple were able to reconcile with the family.
Speaking to LBC, Mr Joll said the Invictus Games and the absence of the Cambridges gave them the perfect opportunity to drop in for a cuppa and a bit of reconciliation.
There's no surprises there.
It does pave the way for them coming back for the Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
Asked by host Camilla Tomminy about how the Cambridges will feel sharing a balcony with the Sussexes, the historian continued, “I don't think that's the big issue.
I think that's a private issue within the royal family that they have got sought out amongst themselves.
I think there is a far, far bigger issue which is that ceasing to be full-time members of the royal family, Harry and Meghan have put themselves in a very awkward position.
What they are in effect now is commercial celebrities.
