Serena Williams' much-awaited comeback at Wimbledon ended in defeat on Tuesday at the hands of world number 115 Harmony Tan.
The 23-time Grand Slam champion played her first match in a year after limping off center court injured just six games into her opening round 12 months ago.
It was a disappointing end to Serena's 22nd time competing at the championships, having first played in the tournament in 1998.
