Slimmed Down Monarchies Debut Hosted by Catherine and Sophie at Buckingham Palace Garden Party

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, along with the Earl and Countess of Wessex, hosted a garden party at Buckingham Palace for King Charles.

The event was attended by the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, while and Prince Edward sported top hats and tails.

Catherine donned an Elisabe dress and hat combo, paired with diamond and blue topaz Lola earrings from Kiki Madonna.

Sophie, on the other hand, opted for a frilly midi dress with a full skirt.

According to reports, King Charles aims to reform the monarchy into a slimmed-down operation.

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams suggested that the King had carefully chosen how his coronation portraits were staged, with Princess Anne holding a very important position.

The garden party was held to praise volunteers across the country, with Catherine and William walking down the palace steps to greet the 500 champions.

It has been an incredibly busy few days for the Prince and Princess of Wales, who shone at King Charles' coronation at Westminster Abbey on Saturday.

Catherine and Charlotte looked stunning in ivory silk crepe gowns from Alexander McQueen, both opting for dazzling floral headpieces.

Catherine also wore the Royal Victorian Order mantle.

On Sunday evening, Catherine wore a crimson Alexander McQueen suit to attend the coronation concert held at Windsor Castle, where acts such as Take That, Katy Perry, and Lionel Richie performed for the royals and thousands of fans who were lucky enough to get tickets.

The presence of Princess Anne in his coronation portraits was carefully chosen, as Mr Fitzwilliams suggests.

However, with only four people under the age of 70 in the official portraits, King Charles may have to decide how slimmed down he wants the monarchy to be.

Despite their busy schedules, the Welles' family always looks regal and put together.

Catherine's stunning Elie Saab dress and hat combo at the garden party was a slightly jazzed up look from her appearance at the Slough Big Howpout on Bank Holiday Monday.

Meanwhile, Sophie looked just as regal alongside Prince Edward.

At the coronation, Catherine and Charlotte sported beautiful Alexander McQueen dresses and dazzling floral headpieces.

The Welles' family also attended the coronation concert at Windsor Castle, where Catherine wore a crimson Alexander McQueen suit.

It's no surprise that the family is feeling tired after all their engagements.

Speaking in Slough, William admitted his children were so tired after three days of royal engagements.

However, the family always managed to put on a brave face and look their best.

The Welles' danced the night away at the coronation concert, and Catherine enjoyed the comedy skit featuring characters from the Muppets.

In conclusion, the garden party at Buckingham Palace was a great way to recognise the hard work of volunteers across the country and give us a glimpse into King Charles' slimmed-down monarchy.
