Will Doria Ragland Join Sussex Family for Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Celebrations?

As the UK prepares to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee next week, there are whispers that 's mother, Doria Ragland, may be joining the Sussexes on their transatlantic trip to London.

The social worker is known to be a doting grandmother to Harry and Meghan's children, , 3, and Lily, who turns one in a few days.

Doria stayed with the couple for the first few weeks after was born and has also been pictured playing with the youngster at the Sussexes' home in Montecito.

It wouldn't be a total surprise if Doria also joined the family on their trip to London to help with babysitting duties.

She has attended official engagements in the past and has likely been invited to join the Royal Family at the Jubilee celebrations.

However, there have been conflicting reports about the relationship between Meghan and her mother.

Trending:

One tabloid claimed that Meghan was distancing herself from Doria and had even banned her from seeing Archie.

The dubious claim went as far as saying that Meghan used the coronavirus pandemic as an excuse to distance herself from her mom.

But other newspapers have a different version of events.

It is reported that Doria stayed with the Sussexes at Frogmore Cottage in Windsor for a period shortly after the birth of Archie.

A Sussex insider revealed that the couple also had Doria move into their home in California during the first coronavirus lockdown, in what represents the most time she has spent with her grandson.

A friend of Meghan's told reporters that Doria had been worried about Meghan and was encouraging her to put her mental health first.

“Doria is very much about being true to oneself and so of course she will continue to encourage Meghan to take the road less travelled,” the friend said.

Despite the conflicting reports, it is clear that Doria is an important figure in the Sussexes' lives.

She has been a source of support for the couple during some of their most challenging moments, including the fallout from their decision to step back from royal duties.

There have also been rumours that Meghan has a strained relationship with her mother.

One unnamed source claimed that Doria was finding it hard to adjust to her new life and that Meghan had done little to help her.

“I've heard they barely speak anyway,” the source said.

There are also concerns about Meghan's husband, .

One person claimed that Meghan hates her ethnicity and forgets where she came from.

They suggested that she reinvents herself so much that she doesn't stay as one version of herself for too long.

However, these claims have not been substantiated and should be taken with a grain of salt.

Despite the rumours and conflicting reports, it is clear that Doria is a beloved member of the Sussex family.

Her presence at the Jubilee celebrations would undoubtedly be a welcome addition and a sign of the family's strong bond.

Whether or not she will be joining them remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure: the Sussexes will be celebrating the Queen's Platinum Jubilee surrounded by love and support from those closest to them.
