How Meghan Markle ‘Ghosted’ Piers Morgan
Morgan's friendship with Markle started amicably enough in 2015, when the actress allegedly messaged Morgan after he had followed her and several of her “Suits” co-stars. In January of this year, Morgan tweeted a screenshot of the 6-year-old post, writing, “think it's fair to say she's probably not such a ‘big fan' of mine now.”
That's because their relationship quickly deteriorated, with Morgan launching a barrage of criticism against Markle after her affair with Prince Harry made her a household name.
Markle went to a private member's club in 2016 after they had been talking daily, where she is thought to have met Prince Harry, and Morgan said he never heard from her again. That's when he took his first jab at the future Duchess.
“We've now seen dozens of other people say they too got ghosted, we all got frozen out. She had reached a loftier place and there was no room for people like us. According to Metro, Morgan said, “She had entered a loftier position and there was no space for people like us.” “The idea that she was able to easily cut off people raises a few warning flags. She did that to her ex-husband and nearly everybody in her family.”
Friends before foes
Morgan initially protected Markle against critics as her friendship with the royal became known, despite the supposed snub.

“Yes, she is passionate about her acting work. But there's nothing wrong with that, and as followers of her TV show ‘Suits' would attest, she's truly talented,” he wrote in his December 2016 column. “More specifically, she seemed to have a sincere and touching concern for the planet's future and its poorest and most disadvantaged people.
“As for Meghan's suitability, remember this: she's had some professional and sexual knowledge, and she isn't a naive 19-year-old novice like Diana,” he added, referring to Prince Harry's late mum, Lady Diana Spencer.
Tables are turned
Morgan started to revisit his opinions on Markle in 2018, the year she married Prince Harry.
Since he was “ghosted” by the Los Angeles resident, he wrote in a column that she left him “suspicious and cynical” towards her.
He wrote in the Daily Mail at the time, “Meghan Markle is a self-obsessed professional actress who has landed the role of her life and is determined to milk it for all she's worth.”
Morgan has frequently been a stern opponent of Markle since then, according to ABC, contributing more than 30 Daily Mail columns attacking her in the years since.
Piers Morgan storms off the ‘Good Morning Britain' set.
Piers Morgan has had a lot to tell about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, but he doesn't like being criticized. After facing feedback from his co-star, Alex Beresford, the 55-year-old British host of Good Morning Britain marched off the set on Tuesday.
Morgan recently criticised Meghan Markle for her candid conversation with Oprah Winfrey, telling on Good Morning Britain, “I'm sorry, I don't believe a thing she says.”
Morgan's tirade towards Markle and her spouse, Prince Harry, prompted his co-host to call him out on Tuesday's broadcast.
“I believe we should all take a step back. And I understand that you don't like Meghan Markle. On this program, you've made it crystal clear a lot of occasions. And I understand you have or had a personal friendship with Meghan Markle, which she terminated, “Morgan has already confirmed that he met Markle before she became a princess, according to Beresford. “She has the freedom to cut you off if she so wishes. Is there something she's mentioned about you since she cut you off? I don't believe she has, but you keep trashing her.”
Morgan got up from his seat and walked off the set at this moment, declaring, “OK, I'm done with this. Sorry. See you later. Sorry, can't do this .”
