Royals thanked Piers Morgan for ‘standing up for them’ over Meghan Markle

Piers Morgan says he received notes praising him for “standing up” to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry “on behalf of other members of the Royal Family.”

The former Good Morning Britain host, who left the show after facing criticism for his remarks in the interview regarding Meghan Markle's allegations, has said that he won't mention the royals who have called him, but that they have shared their gratitude for his support.

“I've had some messages communicated to me on behalf on several members of the Royal Family.

“I'm not going to go into who it was… but gratitude that somebody was standing up,” Piers said.

After an on-air outburst in which he claimed he didn't believe the Duchess of Sussex's comments to Oprah Winfrey, the Good Morning Britain host withdrew from the ITV programme.

Piers quit GMB after exploding at his co-host Alex Beresford for accusing him of venting his frustrations on Meghan because she had already snubbed him.

Piers was speaking on Extra TV for his second US TV interview, and said if he had the opportunity, he would pose some “difficult questions” during the interview.

Harry and Meghan made some controversial comments regarding their challenges as a couple in the royal family during their dramatic Oprah interview, which aired in March.

He previously told Tucker Carlson Today on FOX Nation that Princess Diana might have been “horrified” by the couple's interview, referencing his own relationship with Prince Harry's mother.

In a recent TV show, he has said Meghan and Harry should let him interview them, reiterating his position on the pair.

“I would say to Meghan Markle, ‘Look… sit down with me with your husband for an equally long interview… and let me ask you more difficult questions about all your claims.”

After Meghan's tell-all interview with Oprah premiered last month, the royalist has had a lot to say about her, and he's taken it upon himself to suggest the duchess lied about several of her assertions.

He also allegedly told his ITV superiors that Meghan was lying when she said she was suicidal during her tenure as a member of the royal family.

“Well, I didn't even know that Meghan Markle had contacted my boss at ITV, I didn't even find out until I left,” he told Extra.

“It was certainly a very interesting revelation from where I sit, because clearly she was trying to put huge pressure on my bosses to take action against me.”

Since the former Good Morning host slammed Meghan Markle for not doing the same, fans have called on Piers Morgan to reveal the identities of the mystery Royal Family members that he says have thanked him for his remarks about her.

Piers Morgan revealed in a TV interview yesterday that ‘several members of the royal family' have contacted him after he openly chastised Prince Harry and Meghan Markle over their Oprah Winfrey interview.

He made his remarks only hours after ranting to Fox's Tucker Carlson about Meghan and Harry's reluctance to identify the Royal Family member who made derogatory remarks about Archie's skin color.

Piers also criticized Oprah's interviewing abilities, claiming that she might have probed the pair more and demanded, “Well, who is this person?”

Fans of the longtime Breakfast TV host quickly asked the same query in response to his remarks on the Royals.

“Piers was LIVID that Meghan didn't name names. On principal alone, he should name names otherwise he's done the exact same thing and is a massive hypocrite,” one commented.
