Meghan, Harry slammed for hiding Archie – This is why they do it.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been slammed for presenting Archie as a ‘cartoon' in a ‘ridiculous' Christmas card
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry unveiled their official Christmas card for 2020.
Since then, the Duke and Duchess have faced backlash for attempting to conceal their son Archie in a ‘ridiculous' photoshop job on the card.
Many people on social media were outraged by the cartoon version of Archie and chastised his parents for not using a genuine portrait of him.
“Why are they hiding their child? Something isn't right.” While another user posted: “They're still hiding Archie….. ,” stated one person.
“A photoshopped cartoon???,” said another person. “Really! Clever way of hiding Archie .”
“It's nothing more than a ridiculous cartoon image! Why are they hiding out Archie!” exclaimed another.
Trending:
“This child needs social interaction with other children and get outside of ‘his bubble' in order to lead a normal life! What about his future mental well being – good grief! ” They added.
Why Harry and Meghan hide Archie's face
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry posted a picture of their son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor last Sunday after he was born, but oddly choose to conceal his face.
Archie was born on May 6th, and the first snapshot of his family was shared only two days later.
Throughout the months that followed, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle chose to share pictures of Archie on social media for special events, but they still chose to keep their son's face hidden from the public eye.
On Mother's Day, the Sussex Royal Instagram account posted a picture that just showed Archie's feet.
On Father's Day, June 16, Prince Harry posted a photo of himself carrying his son, Archie, with his hand covering Archie's face.
Despite the sweetness of the two images, the sepia tone of the portrait makes Archie's appearance vague, which has irritated some royal fans.
Many people have been asking why Prince Harry and Meghan want to keep their son hidden from the public eye, and now we know why.
Victoria Jennings, a parenting expert, shared her thoughts, explaining that it's all about privacy.
“The Duke and Duchess are clearly proud parents and will likely be spending these first months as new parents getting to know their new baby,” Jennings added.
“All parents have the right to request some anonymity for their child if they so wish and spend the first part of their baby's life bonding and learning more about them.
“It is always a parent's choice as to how many images they share.
“One could argue that all children should be allowed anonymity and should Meghan and Harry prefer to keep baby Archie out of the spotlight then their wishes should be respected.”
Meghan Markle, like other celebrities, has opted to post photos that obscure her son's face in order to safeguard Archie's anonymity.
