William, Harry and Kate chat after Prince Philip’s funeral

and his brother set their tense relationship aside on Saturday when they said their last goodbyes to their grandfather at his funeral, a year since they last saw each other.

Following Prince Philip's funeral on Saturday, April 17, Harry was seen catching up with his brother, William, and sister-in-law, Duchess Kate.

The brothers were solemn and quiet as they followed their father, , and other relatives in a procession behind Prince Philip's coffin before his funeral at Windsor Castle.

Kate, 39, sat alongside husband William throughout the funeral, while Harry sat apart from the rest of the family.

During the dignified, religious, and socially distanced funeral service for their grandfather Prince Philip on Saturday, feuding brothers Prince Harry and were separated by Henry VIII's tomb as they sat across from each other.

After the service, they were seen chatting and walking together.

Although the focus of the day was on their grandfather and his amazing life, the audience was waiting to see if, if at all, the two brothers might communicate on video.

After the emotional ceremony, the trio, who used to be incredibly close, moved away from St George's Chapel together.

They were able to drop their masks once they were farther apart from the rest of the party, and they seemed to catch up. Kate took a step back at one point, and the brothers continued walking and conversing.

William, 38, and Harry, 36, first met while walking to St George's Chapel behind the Duke of Edinburgh's coffin. Peter Phillips, , , Prince Edward, and Princess Anne accompanied them.

 

It was the first time the brothers have been seen together after Harry retired from royal duties in early 2020 and relocated to the United States with his wife Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, and their son .

This brief public display of affection piqued royal analysts' expectations that the brothers would use their time together when Harry is in the United Kingdom to repair their strained relationship, which allegedly erupted after Harry and his wife made a series of sensational accusations about racism and cruelty in the royal family during their bombshell interview with last month.

“It's hard to know what that means but we hope that bodes well,” MSNBC royal columnist Keir Simmons said.

On Twitter, many users were enthralled by the moment of family harmony.

One spectator said, “Such a beautiful scene to see Harry, William and Kate all talking and walking beside each other after the funeral service. #williamandharry.”

Since the Duke of Sussex returned to the UK last weekend, Harry and William talked on the phone last week.

According to a source, Kate is “hopeful of a resolution” and may serve as a peacemaker during Harry's brief visit.

A conflict between William and Harry has existed for years, as Harry recently revealed during a sit-down interview with CBS in March.

Tensions between Harry, 36, and William, 38, erupted after Harry and Meghan gave a candid interview to of the United States last month. The royal family was depicted as unconcerned about Meghan's mental health issues, and Harry characterized his partnership with William as “space at the moment.”

Due to British COVID-19 protection precautions, The Duke of Sussex has been in self-isolation since Sunday. According to reports, William and Kate, Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, spent the week at their country home and William and Harry may not have seen each other before the funeral.
