The royals who walked behind Prince Philip’s coffin in his funeral procession

At 2.45pm, a funeral procession began, which involved the appearance of a specially adapted Land Rover bearing the Duke's coffin at the chapel.

The Band of the Grenadier Guards led the parade, which was accompanied by the Major General commanding the Household Division, service chiefs, members of the royal family on foot, Philip's household staff, and eventually the Queen in a Bentley.

When they walked behind their grandfather's coffin, William and Harry, whose bond has lately been strained, were separated by their cousin Peter Phillips.

Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence and the Earl of Snowdon were among those who walked behind the coffin in a row further along.
