Duchess of Cambridge Channels Princess Charlotte with Signature Royal Move

The Duchess of Cambridge and Queen Elizabeth II made an appearance at King's College, causing quite a stir in London on Tuesday.

Later that day, the Duchess visited the Foundling Museum on her own, where she was announced as the new patron.

During her visit, Kate delighted royal fans by borrowing a move from her three-year-old daughter Princess Charlotte's playbook.

As the Duchess entered the museum, she stopped at the top of the stairs, unexpectedly turned around, and waved to the crowd before disappearing from sight.

Danielle Stacey, a royal correspondent for Yahoo UK, posted videos of the moment, which showed Kate dazzling the crowd with her signature turn and wave.

According to At Tea Cambridges, a royal fan account, Kate's brief move was reminiscent of Princess Charlotte's cute royal greeting.

The young princess first debuted the gesture when she went to meet her baby brother, Prince Louis, at the Lindow Wing of St. Mary's Hospital in April last year.

As dad Prince William held hands with both Charlotte and Prince George, five, she waved to the crowd gathered outside the hospital.

And as she paused at the door of the hospital, unexpectedly turned back to the crowd of fans and photographers and gave a coy little wave, it was perfection.

Since then, Charlotte has become known for her signature move, turning and waving to the crowd at every opportunity.

She even showcased her royal wave at Prince Harry's wedding to Meghan Markle in May 2018, climbing the steps to St. George's Chapel with other members of the bridal party.

Despite battling strong winds and not holding hands with either of her parents, Charlotte managed to turn and wave to the adoring crowd.

It seems Princess Charlotte's younger brother, Prince Louis, is following in her footsteps.

In December, Duchess Kate revealed that her 10-month-old son is starting to wave, and the public is eagerly awaiting his next public appearance to see his skills in action.

The Duchess of Cambridge has always been a crowd-pleaser, and her latest move shows her ability to connect with the people.

Her visit to the Foundling Museum was a success, and her interaction with the crowd outside only added to her popularity.
