Clive Myrie Hilariously Pokes Fun at Meghan Markle’s Legal Win on Have I Got News for You

Last night, Clive Myrie took the reins as host of the popular BBC magazine show Have I Got News for You.

The new mastermind presenter impressed viewers with his quick wit and hilarious jokes, including a playful jab at 's recent legal victory against the Mail on Sunday.

Joining Clive on the panel were Miles Jupp and Long, as well as regulars Ian Hislop and Paul Merton.

As usual, the show was full of jokes about politicians, royals, and current events.

The panel started by discussing Meghan's latest court win against the Mail on Sunday.

correctly guessed that the image shown was related to the case, which Meghan had won after the paper was found to have printed half of a private letter she had sent to her father.

Trending:

The Court of Appeal rejected Associated Newspaper's attempt to have a trial earlier this week, ruling in favor of Meghan.

Clive chimed in, confirming Camilla's statement and adding that the contents of the letter were personal and not of legitimate public interest.

He then quipped that Meghan's victory means she can continue to invade her own privacy, much to the amusement of the audience.

But Meghan wasn't the only topic of discussion during the show.

The panel also touched on the new Omicron Covid variant, which has led to questions about whether Christmas parties and family gatherings should still go ahead.

They even joked about whether kissing under the mistletoe would be allowed.

Additionally, the panellists discussed Labour's cabinet reshuffle this week, with Clive poking fun at Yvette Cooper's return to the Shadow Cabinet.

Cooper, who was a minister during Gordon Brown's time in office and a key face in Ed Miliband's failed bid for power, lost a leadership election against Jeremy Corbyn.

Despite this, Clive joked that “Labour are back.”

In his Daily Mail column, Piers Morgan criticized Meghan's court win, claiming that it only exposed her true character to the world.

He also referenced the revelation that Meghan and Harry were involved in the creation of the biography Finding Freedom, despite denying it publicly.

Morgan argued that the couple had cashed in on their privacy for millions of dollars from companies like Spotify, Netflix, and Oprah, but still wanted to control the media and stop journalists from writing negative stories about them.

He concluded by saying that Meghan's victory was not a pretty sight and that she should put the champagne back in the fridge.

Overall, Clive Myrie's debut as host of Have I Got News for You was a hit, with viewers praising his comedic timing and delivery.

The show continues to be a popular source of satire and humor, providing much-needed laughter during these challenging times.
