Duchess of Cambridge Reads Children’s Book for Mental Health Week

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, will appear on CBeebies Bedtime Stories this Sunday to mark Children's Mental Health Week.

The Duchess will be reading The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark and in a previous clip from her upcoming appearance, she reminds children that they are not alone when they feel scared.

The Royal dressed casually in a pair of jeans and a cosy sweater.

She sat cross-legged on a blanket on the floor surrounded by a woodland scene and a couple of owl-stuffed animals.

The story is an encouraging tale that teaches children that it's better to find out about the things that scare us before we make up our minds.

However, the Duchess's appearance has made one royal expert note her style of talking.

Speaking to OK!

Magazine, Duncan Larcombe said that while the Duchess was always well-spoken, her current way of conversing was much different, adding that she changed up her accent to be more regal.

Larcombe went on to say that the Duchess's accent and the way she carefully speaks and pronounces her words has become more regal over the years and morphed into what we see now.

It's almost like her accent has changed in accordance with the role that she's played over the years.

As a royal girlfriend, she just had to be prim and proper and polite, and she always was.

He further added that it has never been denied that the Duchess had elocution lessons and that it is a decision she would have made by herself and not on the advice of the royal family.

Kate is a perfectionist, he said, and she will look at everything about herself in a minute detail so she knows exactly the kind of outfits that she wears to send out the right signals and are appropriate.

The Duchess's attention to detail extends to the way she delivers what she says.

With her role as a future Queen, it's important that she speaks in a manner fitting of her position.

Mr Duncan further said that imagine all the fuss we'd make if after ten years into the marriage, into the royal family, she spoke more like Katie Price than .

The Duchess's appearance on CBeebies Bedtime Stories comes during Children's Mental Health Week, which runs from 1-7 February.

The theme for this year's event is “Express Yourself.”

The aim of the week is to encourage children to explore different ways of expressing themselves and to promote positive mental health.

The Duchess has long been an advocate for mental health and has launched several initiatives to promote mental well-being in children.
