Appearing on SNL on Saturday night, Che said, “It was reported that the organizers of King Charles's coronation have officially invited and this is nice at a starting salary of $19 an hour.”

Other viewers also responded with cry laughing emojis and claps.

However, not everyone was impressed with the sketch.

Some fans of Meghan Markle took to Twitter to complain about the cruel and offensive nature of the joke.

One viewer wrote, “Notice how Michael Che is not funny and he never has been.

Especially tonight with his trashy cheap shot Meghan joke.

It's not funny.

Just getting used to insult a black woman, apologize and retract.

But it's unforgivable.

It's not even funny.

It's just rude.”

The segment comes amid reports that and have been snubbed after not receiving an invite to their grandfather King Charles's coronation.

It follows claims that their parents and Meghan Markle have been invited but can expect the cold shoulder by fellow royals.

According to royal sources, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have not been told whether that invitation extends to their children who are aged three and one.

A Buckingham Palace source told the Sunday Times that it would be wholly improper for discussions over roles for the Queen Consort's grandchildren, but not her husband's.

Harry and Meghan will not be invited to take part in the official balcony appearance and many members of the family have no wish to socialize with the couple.

A friend of the royal family said, “They'll be given the cold shoulder by a lot of relatives.

One said to me, I hope they'll be seated in another country.

Many of the family just don't want anything to do with them anymore.

If they have to see them at the coronation then so be it, but they don't want to socialize with them.”

Royal officials claim Harry and Meghan have discussed their options when it comes to attending the coronation, including the possibility of Harry attending alone or skipping the ceremony altogether.

Despite this, a friend of the Duke claims Harry is mindful that the coronation will be pretty much the most important day of his father's life.

It's worth noting that this is not the first time that Meghan Markle has been mocked by US comedy shows.

In 2019, she was the subject of a sketch on The Daily Show, which poked fun at her for being American and marrying into the British royal family.

The segment was widely criticized for being racist and offensive.

Despite the criticism, Meghan and Harry have continued to make headlines around the world.

They recently made a controversial appearance on the cover of Time magazine, where they were named among the 100 most influential people in the world.

The couple used the opportunity to discuss their ongoing battle with the media and their efforts to create a more compassionate world.

As the drama surrounding the royal family continues to unfold, it remains to be seen whether Meghan and Harry will attend the coronation or not.
