Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Morpelli Mozzi Announce the Name of Their Baby Daughter

After almost two weeks since her birth, and Edoardo Morpelli Mozzi have finally revealed the name of their baby daughter.

The Queen's granddaughter took to Twitter to make the much-awaited announcement, stating that they have named their daughter Siena Elizabeth Morpelli Mozzi.

Along with the announcement, a statement was also released on the Royal Family Instagram account.

The names chosen by the doting parents for their first daughter together appear to be paying tribute to both Edoardo and Beatrice's legacies.

The name Siena comes from the city of Siena in Tuscany, which could be a reminder of her father's Italian roots.

Edoardo is a descendant of a long-standing Italian noble family and will inherit the Italian title of Conti, Count in English, from his father Alessandro, as well as the family's ancestral seat, Villa Morpelli Mozzi, a palace in northern Italy built in the 18th century.

On the other hand, the baby's second name is a clear reminder of her ties with the Royal Family and pays homage to the Queen, of whom Beatrice's daughter is the twelfth great-grandchild.

The Royal Family is thrilled with their newest addition, with the palace announcing earlier this week that the Queen is delighted with the news.

Since only grandchildren of the monarch through the male line are given titles, 's baby girl will be known as Miss Morpelli Mozzi.

Edoardo, 38, praised Princess Beatrice in a post on his Instagram, writing, “Siena Elizabeth Morpelli Mozzi.

Our life together has just begun, and I can't wait to see all the amazing things that await us.

Feeling so much love and gratitude for my amazing wife, baby Siena, and Wolfie.

These are the days I never want to forget.”

Many Royal fans flocked to congratulate Beatrice and Edoardo on their name choice.

Royal watcher Kayla Adams wrote on Twitter, “Gorgeous name.”

Another social media user, Giselle Mercado, said, “Congratulations mum and dad on your bundle of joy.

Siena is a beautiful name.”

A third Royal fan, Cassidy Faith, wrote, “Beautiful name.

Congratulations on the expansion of your family.”

Yet another, with the nickname Sherry Lee, wrote, “A beautiful name.

Wishing Siena and your whole family much health and happiness.”

In contrast, Harry and Meghan's baby name choice has reportedly sparked controversy over whether or not the Queen was consulted before they made their decision.

is indeed 's nickname within the Royal family, and their choice has raised questions about the couple's true intention behind the choice.

People have noted that Harry seemed to like the name Lily back in 2019.

It seems plausible that his affinity for the nickname would have played into the couple's decision.

However, Royal experts have expressed their surprise and skepticism about the name choice, with one stating, “The name was very specific to the Queen, and private.”

Another expert suggests that the couple may have named their daughter after someone they have heavily criticized, raising questions about their motives.

One reason could be that they want their daughter to be known as a Royal and benefit from their links to the Royal family.

will no doubt stand out from other children, and the name may be used to promote various commercial ideas her parents are keen on.

They have already organized a domain in her name.

In conclusion, while Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Morpelli Mozzi have chosen a beautiful name for their daughter, Siena Elizabeth Morpelli Mozzi, Harry and Meghan's choice of Lilibet has raised eyebrows and sparked controversy.

Only time will tell what the future holds for these Royal babies and their families.
