Meghan Markle, Prince Harry's girlfriend, has been caught up in yet another scandal.

This time, British actor Max Beasley is at the center of the controversy.

The pair have been friends since meeting on the set of the US legal drama Suits back in 2013.

The US actress even called Max a stud in an old photo of him in a suit that he posted on Twitter back in 2013.

Max and Meghan have had a fun exchange over the years.

After Meghan shared a photo of a bouquet of flowers, Max appeared to joke, “They are my fave.

Glad you got them.

I was worried they would mess the order.”

Mad Dogs star Max, who is reportedly still in contact with a number of the cast members from Suits, including Meghan, recently sent her a message by mistake.

According to the Daily Star, Max wrote, “Sent you an email by mistake, babe.

It's for another m. No idea how that happened.

Sending love x.”

Max, who has previously dated the likes of Mel B and Jodie Marsh, is married to American dancer Jennifer and shares a daughter called Sabrina.

Meanwhile, Prince William has stepped into the Meghan Markle privacy fray, backing little brother Harry in his support of his girlfriend.

Following Prince Harry's unprecedented step of issuing a formal statement via social media earlier this month, the Duke of Cambridge has now offered his thoughts on the matter.

A palace spokesman told Mirror Celeb, “The Duke of Cambridge absolutely understands the situation concerning privacy and supports the need for Prince Harry to support those closest to him.”

A source told The Sun, “Matt followed Meghan initially in early 2015 because he thought she was a beautiful star from Suits.

But he was stunned when she followed him immediately back and started messaging him.

She said she was a big fan of his work.

Matt couldn't believe a Hollywood star like Meghan would even know who he was.

So he was very flattered, and they chatted a little bit online before she suggested meeting up.”

But then he met his girlfriend and knew it wasn't appropriate to keep talking to Meghan, so he ended up ghosting her.
