Meghan Markle Will Never Be Known As Princess If She Marries Prince Harry
Speculation is rife that Prince Harry is getting ready to propose to his American actress girlfriend, Meghan Markle.
The couple has been dating since last year and confirmed their romance in November.
However, even if they do get married, Meghan will never be allowed to be known as Princess Meghan due to strict royal protocol about who can carry the title of Prince and Princess.
The title of Prince or Princess followed by the first name is reserved only for those of royal blood.
This means that Meghan is subject to the same rules that left Kate Middleton without the title of Princess when she married Prince William.
However, if Harry and Meghan tie the knot, it is almost certain that they will be granted a dukedom.

It has been suggested that if the couple does get married, they will become the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Other titles up for grabs include the Duke and Duchess of Clarendon and Buckingham.
This is similar to William and Kate, who are officially known as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
Currently, Meghan and Harry are on a surprise African safari to celebrate her 36th birthday.
However, rumors are swirling that an engagement announcement may be imminent.
Pals close to the couple have said they expect an engagement soon.
