Meghan Markle Wears Queen Mary Filigree Tiara on Wedding Day

Meghan Markle, now the Duchess of Sussex, wore a stunning Queen Mary filigree tiara on her wedding day.

The tiara is believed to have been lent to her by the Queen for the occasion and is thought to date back to 1892.

Many were curious whether Meghan would opt for a traditional headpiece or a tiara.

According to expert Rob Ford, the tiara is a turn of the 20th century diamond tiara that was hand fabricated and is diamond encrusted with a central daisy-shaped cluster of approximately seven carats.

Ford also mentioned that it is impossible to place a value on the tiara because it is quite obviously a priceless piece.

Meghan's diamond cluster earrings, on the other hand, are valued at up to £70,000.

Her clean, pure, and classic look complemented the overall style of Meghan on her big day.

The cluster on her earrings was designed to match the central cluster on her tiara.

As per tradition, Meghan did not wear her engagement ring on her wedding day.

She also wore a diamond-line bracelet, or tennis bracelet as it is sometimes called.

The bracelet is approximately 10.00 carats with a total value of £80,000, and Meghan wore it with an updo.

Celebrity hairdresser and stylist to Victoria Beckham and Eva Longoria, Jason Collier, predicted that Meghan would opt for an updo, and she did.

Collier loved her choice of a more polished version of the informal bun that she has sported for many official occasions in the past few months.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle looked overjoyed as they were officially declared husband and wife.

The 33-year-old royal was overwhelmed with emotion at the sight of his bride, telling Meghan that she looked amazing as they met at the altar.

The love-struck couple gazed at each other during the ceremony, with Meghan wowing in her spectacular gown by designer Claire Waite Keller of Givenchy, and the dazzling Mary Diamond Bendot tiara.

Prince Harry couldn't keep his eyes off his bride, answering “I will” as he tied the knot with his US actress love.

Meghan glowed as she answered the same, and the crowds of thousands burst into applause, cheering the couple.
