Prince Louis Steals the Show with Mischievous Antics During Trooping the Colour

The youngest member of the royal family, Prince Louis, stole the limelight from his great grandmother, the Queen, during the Trooping the Colour ceremony at Buckingham Palace.

The four-year-old prince was seen pulling faces and flicking his nose, amusing the public with his mischievous antics.

He covered his ears when the noise of the Jubilee planes became excessive, but also waved at them, rested his head on his chin, and chatted with the Queen.

Louis shares a strong bond with his great-grandmother, as she was seen chatting with him during the fly-past, trying to distract him from the loud noise of the aircraft.

During the noisy fly-past, Catherine said to Camilla, “‘He really is trying to squeeze by!'

As the planes flew overhead, Catherine said to son Louis, “‘It's so cool!

Look at that!'

Meanwhile, speaking to her great-grandson, the Queen said, “‘Look up at all that smoke!'

After the fly-past, she turned back to the young royal and added, “‘Let's go, it's finished now.

That really was wonderful, so incredible!'

According to a body language expert, Prince Louis' adorable appearance at Trooping the Colour during the RAF fly-past brought out a childlike excitement in the Queen.

Body language expert Judy James explained that Louis' cute and spontaneous behaviour clearly rubbed off on the 96-year-old monarch, who was seen smiling throughout the spectacular fly-past.

Earlier today, cheers went up from thousands of spectators on the Mall as they caught sight of Louis and his older brother and sister, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte with proud mother Catherine and the Duchess of Cornwall in a carriage.

The traditional carriage procession left Buckingham Palace ahead of Trooping the Colour, also known as the Birthday Parade, the start of four days of festivities honouring the Queen.
