Meghan Markle Banned From Wearing Princess Diana’s Jewelry

According to recent reports, Meghan Markle has been banned by the Queen from wearing any pieces of jewelry previously worn by her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana.

This news comes as a major blow to Prince Harry, who is said to be upset and disappointed by the decision.

A royal insider revealed that it is at the discretion of the Queen and her trusted advisors to decide which items in the royal collection can be loaned out and to whom.

Apparently, the Queen and other high-ranking royals are holding a grudge against the former Suits actress, and Duchess Catherine is the only one welcome to the jewels.

Prince William reportedly demanded that Meghan stop wearing Princess Diana's jewelry.

He was furious when he found out that Meghan continued to wear the pieces despite the royal family's wishes.

In fact, during her Vax Live video, Markle was seen wearing a gold Cartier tank watch believed to be the one Diana possessed and left to William.

The inside source explains that ever since Meghan came between the brothers and soured their relationship, it has bothered William that she has such an important piece of his mum in her jewelry box.

He traded the watch for Diana's sapphire engagement ring, which was left to Prince Harry, and that is how Markle came into possession of the timepiece.

The ongoing insult is not helping negotiations between the two brothers as they squabble over whether they should make a joint or separate speech at Kensington Palace in July in honor of their mum's 60th birthday.

At this point, it is assumed that it will be separate.

Although Meghan has her own Cartier tank watch that she bought for herself many years ago, she has been spotted in numerous jewels from Princess Diana's personal collection, including her engagement ring, which features two of the princess's own diamonds.

Meghan also wore Diana's iconic tennis bracelet from Cartier, estimated to be worth upwards of £125,000, several times before.

Meghan is clearly a fan of Princess Diana's Cartier Tank Francaise watch, which Prince William initially inherited when Harry opted for the engagement ring.

It is estimated to be worth around an incredible £300,000.

The watch, given to Diana by her father John Spencer on her 21st birthday, was worn by Meghan in a YouTube video where she read her children's book The Bench in October 2021.

She also donned the statement piece when she and Prince Harry were pictured for Time magazine in 2020.

A spokesperson for Meghan reportedly said they wanted to wear the bracelet during the bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021 to have Harry's mother there with them.

However, it seems that Meghan will have to find other pieces of jewelry to wear as she has been banned from wearing any more of Princess Diana's collection.
