King Charles III Reportedly Following Edward’s Footsteps in Exiling Harry and Meghan Before Coronation

and 's abdication crisis is reportedly being handled by King Charles III the same way his predecessor exiled Edward, according to an insider.

The royal family exiled Edward and his wife Wallis Simpson, making them appear unimportant, misguided, disloyal, and even treacherous individuals to almost all British people.

The Queen Mother was said to have worked tirelessly in this masterful operation.

The same thing is already happening with Harry and Meghan and will only gather pace under the rule of King Charles, the source added.

A former Buckingham Palace staffer revealed that the king's accession statement was a message to the Sussexes not to disrupt his reign.

While Harry and Meghan will receive an invitation to the coronation, they will be seated in the cheap seats alongside Beatrice and Eugenie, as they were at the funeral.

King Charles will be ruthless in protecting the crown, which means keeping Harry and Meghan as far from the center of gravity as possible.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex left the UK to move abroad with their son in early 2020 and relinquished their titles as working members of the royal family.

An email sent by Harry to his father, King Charles III, expressing their unhappiness with the current set-up and their desire to live in North America went down incredibly badly.

Valentine Lowe, a royal correspondent at the Times, claimed that Harry thought they could sort it out by email before returning to London on January 6.

However, the reply they received required a proper family conversation.

The couple were told that the first available date for a family meeting was more than three weeks later on January 29, but it is unclear if this inflexibility was down to Charles or Private Secretary Clive Alderton.

Regardless, from the perspective of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, this went down incredibly badly and fed into the narrative that they weren't being taken seriously by the palace machinery or the rest of the family.

Mr. Lowe claimed that Harry tried to accelerate the situation by arranging to meet with his grandmother, the Queen, before leaving for Canada.

However, the message conveyed to him was that the monarch had been confused about her diary and was no longer available.

The Courtiers had gotten in the way because they saw the meeting with the Queen as an attempt to pick her off before Harry started talks with the rest of the family.

This made Harry so cross that for a while, he considered driving straight from the airport to Sandringham to drop in on the Queen unannounced.

The couple announced their Megxit plans on January 8, while the royal family met five days later at Sandringham to discuss the situation.

On February 19, Buckingham Palace released a statement confirming that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would not be returning as working members of the royal family.

The Queen had confirmed that it was not possible to continue with the responsibilities and duties that come with a life of public service.

The honorary military appointments and royal patronages held by the Duke and Duchess would be returned to Her Majesty before being redistributed among working members of the royal family.

While all are saddened by their decision, the Duke and Duchess remain much-loved members of the family.

King Charles III is reportedly following Edward's footsteps in exiling Harry and Meghan before his coronation.

The royal family is determined to protect the crown and keep Harry and Meghan away from the center of gravity as much as possible.

The couple's desire to live in North America and relinquish their titles as working members of the royal family has caused a stir in the palace machinery.
