Zara Tindall Shares Affectionate Greetings with Royal Family at Royal Ascot

The Royal Family was out in full force for the opening of Royal Ascot on Tuesday, June 14th.

Princess Anne's daughter, Zara Tindall, 41, was particularly pleased to see her relatives and could be seen greeting members of her extended family with a friendly kiss upon arriving at the Berkshire racecourse alongside her husband, Mike Tindall, 43.

Zara greeted her uncle, , with an affectionate peck on the cheek, as well as her mother, the Princess Royal, her brother Peter Phillips, and Princess Michael of Kent.

Other royals were also seen greeting Zara with a peck on the lips.

An Olympian equestrian who shares the Queen's love of horses, Zara donned a tie-dyed belted dress for the occasion.

She teamed her vibrant frock with a pillabox pom-pom hat and n^de pumps to finish her elegant look.

Meanwhile, her husband Mike looked suitably dapper in a top hat and tails as the smiling couple arrived for the prestigious racing event.

, accompanied by his wife , Duchess of Cornwall, wore a grey suit and black top hat to the outing.

The couple led the Ascot Racecourse procession in place of the Queen, who did not attend the first day of races due to mobility issues.

Commenting on Charles and his niece's greeting at the racecourse, body language expert Judy James offered an interesting analysis of their gestures.

James noted that Charles' facial features often suggest the duty of princeship weighs heavily on his shoulders, and even with his wife , their PDAs tend to be restricted to the odd pat and passing smile.

However, at Ascot, Charles appeared to be in high spirits and was positively beaming with delight as he chatted with Sophie Countess of Wessex and puckered up for a kiss on the lips from Zara.

James suggested that Charles' body language with Sophie implies strong bonds of friendship, while Zara's tactile body language rituals during her greetings with her uncle are extra sweet and affectionate in what looks like a spontaneous way.

Zara Tindall has often stepped out with Princess Anne and her uncle, Prince Charles.

During royal events, her body language shows she could have a particular close relationship with some family members.

As II's eldest grandchild, Zara has stayed out of the public eye more than others in the royal family, possibly because she was not given an official royal title when she was born.

According to James, during such appearances, Zara has shown her close relationship with Prince Charles.

The expert stated that if you were to place all the royals on a sliding scale of PDAs and tactile behavior in public, Charles would sit close to one end as a rather hands-on, stuffy-looking kind of guy, while Zara would sit firmly at the other end as the most spontaneous and gloriously gregarious-looking royal adult.

Zara's trick with Charles seems to be the neck embrace, which is both dominant, emphatic, and escape-proof when she meets him.

Here she keeps some torso distance but places a rather protective arm around his upper shoulders with her fingers touching his neck.

Her more confident pose involves some leg splay, plus a hand in a fist shape on her waist and the elbows stuck out.

Charles' pose is more passive, with his hands clasped behind his back, but his eye-to-eye contact and head-closeness signals an easy-going and playful relationship.

In another picture taken at Royal Ascot, Zara shows similar displays of affection with her uncle.

James added that this pose shows Zara's emphatically dominant, steering-greeting ritual with her uncle, with her arm placed around his shoulders and the hand clasping his neck.

Prince Charles is the older brother of Princess Anne, and his close relationship with Zara may have even helped bring the siblings together.

James stated that Anne and Charles will probably never be the closest brother and sister, but they are beginning to look as though shared goals in terms of their love and sense of duty to their mother and a desire to sustain the image of the royal firm have brought them closer together, along with the obvious affection that Anne's daughter Zara seems to have for her uncle Charles.

In conclusion, the opening of Royal Ascot was a joyous occasion for the Royal Family, with Zara Tindall sharing her affectionate greetings with her extended family, particularly her uncle Prince Charles.

Their body language suggests a playful and easy-going relationship, with Zara's dominant and protective embrace steering the greeting ritual.

While Zara may not have an official royal title, her close relationship with some family members, including Prince Charles, is evident in her joyful and gregarious demeanor at royal events.
