Princess Eugenie Shares First Photo of August’s Christening Alongside Touching Family Moments

Princess Eugenie has finally shared the first photo from the joint double christening of her son August and Mike and Zara Tindall's son Lucas.

The ceremony took place at the Royal All Saints Chapel in Windsor in November, and no images of the ceremony were released at the time.

However, the princess recently took to Instagram to share a poignant collection of family photos from 2021 that reflect her life over the past year.

In the photograph, the Queen's granddaughter, 31, could be seen holding her son on his special day while looking down at him adoringly.

Eugenie wore what looked to have been an off-white linen dress for the christening, while August wore a sweet ruffled laced outfit.

August's christening was a big family affair as it was a joint service with Zara Tindall's son Lucas.

Zara, 40, has three children with her rugby player husband Mike Tindall, 43.

While the Queen was in attendance at the service, one person who wasn't there was Jack's father George, who reportedly passed away aged 72 just days before.

Eugenie's New Year's post included a photograph of George, who was seen laughing with his two sons Jack and Thomas, 34.

Another person Eugenie paid tribute to in the post was her late grandfather, Prince Philip, as she shared a photograph of him and the Queen together.

Philip, who passed away aged 99 in April, reportedly had a close relationship with Eugenie.

Eugenie previously revealed that baby August got to meet his great-grandfather shortly before his death, and they named him August Philip in honor of Prince Philip's inspiring character in her life.

In the post, alongside the photo collection on Instagram, Eugenie wrote, “Happy New Year to all.

Goodbye 2021.

A year that blessed us with our boy and saw our family grow with new additions, but also a year that took some of our biggest and brightest lights forever in our hearts.”

Eugenie's post was also made up of snaps of her, Jack, and baby August, as well as a photograph of a print of Princess Beatrice's daughter's feet.

Beatrice gave birth to her first child, Sienna, in September.

She shares her daughter with her husband, Eduardo Mapelli-Mosi.

The christening ceremony was a private affair, and no images were released at the time.

However, Eugenie's recent Instagram post provided a glimpse into the special day and other touching family moments from the past year.
