Megan Markle: From Z-List Actress to Duchess of Sussex

Megan Markle's rise to fame and fortune has been nothing short of remarkable.

From her humble beginnings as a Z-list actress, she has now become one of the most famous women in the world, thanks to her marriage to .

But what many people don't know is that Megan's success was not solely down to her talent and hard work.

In fact, she owes much of her early career success to her ex-husband, Trevor Engelson.

Trevor Engelson was a film director, producer, and talent manager when he met Megan.

At the time, she was struggling to make it in Hollywood, playing secondary characters on B-plus list rated cable television shows like Suits.

However, with Trevor's help, Megan's career took off.

He had the right connections to get her in front of the best casting directors, and soon she was landing roles in hit shows like CSI and Deal or No Deal.

In 2011, Megan and Trevor tied the knot in Jamaica.

However, their fairy tale wedding was short-lived.

Just a few months after their nuptials, Megan landed the role of Rachel Zane on Suits, and her career began to take off.

Unfortunately for Trevor, this also signaled the end of their marriage.

Despite moving his office from Los Angeles to New York so he could be closer to Megan in Toronto, their relationship was over.

Megan moved out of their apartment, and Trevor returned the wedding and engagement rings he'd bought her via FedEx.

According to Samantha Markle, Megan's first marriage to Trevor turned nasty, especially after she gave back her ring to the producer.

In her book, Samantha claimed that one of the reasons why Megan and Trevor didn't work out is because he suspected she was having an affair with one of her Suits co-stars.

“We heard through the grapevine that Meg was involved with someone on the show,” Samantha wrote.

“I was in shock because I thought they had a marriage that defied all odds in Hollywood.”

Trevor has also spoken out about his failed marriage to Megan, reportedly saying that she made him feel like a piece of something stuck to the bottom of her shoe.

Royal biographer Andrew Morton wrote in his book Megan, a Hollywood Princess, that Megan sent her diamond engagement and wedding ring back to Trevor in the mail.

He said that the move surprised him and that he could barely contain his anger at the gesture.

Morton wrote that a friend of Trevor's said he went from cherishing Megan to feeling like he was a piece of something stuck to the bottom of her shoe.

Megan's treatment of Trevor led to Ninaki Priddy, who was Megan's former best friend and maid of honor at their wedding, cutting ties with her.

Ninaki said she didn't want to associate herself with Megan anymore after hearing what had happened.

“The way she handled it, Trevor definitely had the rug pulled out from under him.

What about that?”

Ninaki said.

Megan's career continued to soar after her divorce from Trevor.

She landed more high-profile roles, including her breakout role on Suits, which she played for seven seasons.

However, her big break came when she met .

The two hit it off immediately and began dating in 2016.

They got engaged in November 2017 and tied the knot in May 2018 in a lavish ceremony at Windsor Castle.

Today, Megan is known as the Duchess of Sussex and is one of the most popular members of the royal family.

She has used her platform to advocate for causes she believes in, including gender equality and mental health awareness.

Despite her past controversies, she has won over millions of fans around the world with her charm, grace, and style.
