According to Piers Morgan, Meghan Markle despised playing second fiddle to Kate Middleton and Prince William.
“The fact is that Meghan and Harry have brought this ugly situation entirely on themselves,” Piers Morgan said of the royal feud.

“Well, I think it has always been a running sore for Meghan Markle in particular – well, why should he [Prince Harry] have to play second fiddle to these two?” the Good Morning Britain host said
“Well, since William is going to be King.”

The host also contrasted the roles played by the Cambridges and Sussexes during the coronavirus pandemic, praising Kate and William for their hands-on approach.
“I believe the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's behavior during the pandemic has been starkly at odds with the Sussexes, to their great credit,” he said. They are aware of the situation.
“I thought Harry got it, but he has little interest in doing his work.
“In a way that we saw the last time an American lady joined the Royal Family, he has been absolutely bamboozled.”
Piers continued to address the effects of the Royal split in his latest novel, Wake Up, slamming Meghan and Harry for their recent actions.
“The truth is that Meghan and Harry have brought this ugly situation on themselves entirely, and they can somehow find the strength in their faux-victim-ravaged, virtue-signalling, self-obsessed souls,” he wrote.
“It has nothing to do with prejudice and all to do with their fragile egos and a simmering rivalry with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who will always be more important in the royal family because they will one day be King and Queen,” he continued.
On April 1st, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry formally withdrew from the royal family.
On January 8, the pair announced that they would be taking a “step back” from their senior positions.
Since then, the couple and their baby boy, Archie, have moved to America.
