She isn’t charismatic enough to be president – Ivanka Trump’s political aspirations are discussed by Mary Trump
Former President Donald Trump’s niece, Mary Trump, does not believe her uncle’s family has the makings of a long-lasting political dynasty.
Mary Trump tells Business Insider that her children lack their father’s “charisma,” which she describes as “a certain charisma that appeals to people’s lowest and basest instincts and gives permission to people to be their worst self.”
Mary Trump went on to say that Trump’s children “don’t have that,” making it unlikely that they’ll be able to win the presidency solely on the basis of their father’s name.
Mary Trump also told Business Insider that Trump and his children will be too embroiled in legal issues to run for president in 2024.
“I’m guessing they’ll be defending themselves in a reasonable amount of civil and criminal lawsuits going forward, due in large part to their father but also to their own anti-social tendencies,” she said. “At the moment, that is Donald’s only saving grace: he and probably two or three of his children are going to be involved in a slew of legal proceedings, beginning in the not-too-distant future.”
