Piers Morgan called Meghan Markle’s Oprah interview the “acting performance of her life.”

's candid interview with , according to Piers Morgan, was “the acting performance of her life.”

“I thought it was two hours of disingenuous, horrible, one sided, self-serving, delusional claptrap,” Morgan told “Good Morning Britain,” on Monday.

“It was utterly ridiculous from start to finish,” he said.

sat down with and for an interview, which aired on CBS.

The interview was “designed to portray her the ultimate victim.” Morgan said. He ridiculed Markle for making what he considered to be racism charges towards II.

“She says that the baby will not be a prince because they want to change the rules to stop him becoming a prince because of his skin color,” Morgan said. “It's a complete fabrication.” And the Queen is the only one who decides on titles like Prince.”

“She is directly inferring the queen is a racist, changing the rules because her son is from a biracial mother and father,” he continued. “It is utterly extraordinary.”

Morgan defended the Queen, claiming that she “doesn't have a racist bone in her body.”

“The Queen, who is 94 years old and has sat on our throne for six decades, has never put a foot wrong and has no racist bone in her body… And the suggestion that the Queen is a hidden bigot who is watching over all of this is despicable.”

Morgan claims there were some other “outrageous” lies about the Royal Family in the interview.

“The entire focus was trashing Harry's family: his father, his brother, and throwing Kate under the bus over some big fight they had, where Meghan was apparently reduced to tears by Kate's.” That tale has been completely refuted by what I've seen. So it went on for another two hours.”

Morgan asked why chose to do the interview.

Morgan said of the Prince, “This is a guy who's currently in line to the throne,” “He's in the run to be the next King of England at number six or seven.” What does he believe he's accomplishing? Defaming the monarchy and the Royal Family, encouraging his wife to do so, and portraying them as a bunch of racist bullies?

“It is, I've got to say, I find it one of the most shocking things I've watched in a long time,” he said.

If Morgan were a member of the Royal Family, he was asked whether he would respond to the interview.

“I would, if I were them,” Morgan said. “I believe some highly defamatory statements have been made. And I'm already sensing, and I'm seeing it on social media, the growing hate directed at the Royal Family as a result of Meghan and Harry's totally fabricated and unsubstantiated reports.”

He later added, “I live a mile from Kensington Palace, and I can tell you, you can almost feel the simmering rage burning down from that palace to where I'm sitting now,”
