Elton John and Prince Harry’s Friendship Takes a Hit After Clash at French Home
Prince Harry and Elton John have been close friends for years, but their friendship hit a rough patch during the last night of their holiday at the Rocketman singer's French home.
In his new book, Harry revealed details of a clash they had, which involved a disagreement over a song and a heated argument.
Interestingly, there is no tribute to Elton in the book, despite the singer getting several mentions.
The reason for this may be due to the fact that Harry and Meghan often rely on Elton's generosity, as he has loaned them his private jet for free in the past.
Elton revealed that he had paid for a flight for the couple and their son Archie to ensure their safety and to offset carbon emissions.
However, after being snubbed in Harry's book, the singer has reportedly decided not to loan them his private jet anymore.

Rumors are swirling that Elton and the Harcourts have had a serious falling out, and that Meghan will not be attending any Oscars parties.
Elton was a close friend of Princess Diana and famously performed a special rendition of Candle in the Wind at her funeral, leaving everyone in tears.
The singer also performed at Harry and Meghan's wedding reception in 2018, and the couple stayed with him in France a year later when they were feeling overwhelmed.
During their stay, Harry and Meghan went on a scooter ride with Elton's husband David Furnish and watched their boys fall in love with Archie.
Harry writes in his book that he often caught Elton studying Archie's face, likely due to the strong resemblance to Diana.
However, on the final night of their stay, things took a turn for the worse.
While relaxing around the pool, Elton offered cocktails, but they got into a tense disagreement when Harry congratulated him on finishing his memoir, Me, and Elton revealed it was going to be serialised in the Daily Mail.
Harry was taken aback and asked Elton why he had chosen a newspaper that had made his life miserable.
The prince kept pushing the singer and reminded him of specific lies that had been printed, but Elton had already accepted a cheque for £100,000.
Harry admits that beads of sweat were now dripping off his forehead during the awkward exchange.
Despite the argument, Harry writes that he still loves Elton and didn't want to spoil their holiday.
Elton has remained close to both Diana's sons since her death, defending Harry and Meghan against untrue assassinations of their character in 2019.
In the book, Harry also reveals that he asked Elton to sing Candle in the Wind for the anniversary of his mother's death, but the Grammy award winner refused, claiming it would be too macabre to celebrate Diana's life and achievements.
Overall, it seems that the clash between Harry and Elton was just a bump in the road for their friendship.
However, it remains to be seen whether or not Elton will continue to loan his private jet to the couple in the future.
