Kate Middleton Celebrates 39th Birthday with Family at Norfolk Country Home
The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, celebrated her 39th birthday on January 9th, 2021, in the company of her husband Prince William and their children at Anmer Hall, their country home in Norfolk.
The Duke of Cambridge had planned a special weekend for his wife and children to ensure that she had a memorable birthday, despite the ongoing lockdown.
Normally, the couple celebrates this occasion together, but two years ago, when Kate was turning 37, she missed out on time with her husband after he attended a special engagement.
Royal expert Catriona Harvey-Jenner explained that for at least part of the day, Kate was unable to mark her birthday with William, claiming that while Kate may or may not be cracking open a bottle of Shampoos, Prince William will be at work.
William was visiting the London Air Ambulance, an event Ms Harvey-Jenner said was ironically to celebrate 30 years of existence.
She added in Cosmopolitan at the time, “To be fair, I doubt Kate will have a problem with William's alternative commitment on her birthday, considering the Prince served as an air ambulance pilot for years and it provides such an important service.

He's probably got the green light to go and enjoy himself at the official engagement.”
This is not the first time Prince William has missed Kate's birthday.
In 2008, he was following in his father's footsteps and earning his wings with the Royal Air Force.
The Army officer was on a tough four-month intensive course to help him get to grips with life in the other armed forces, so he had to apologise to Kate after failing to find a way to join in with the celebrations.
A Royal source said at the time, “He has been trying to work out a way of meeting up with Kate but it is difficult because he wants to make the right impressions in his first week at the Royal Air Force.
Wills takes his role with the armed forces very seriously and this demanding course will push him.
He is going to have to graft.”
However, Kate did not let William's absence dampen her spirits.
She was pictured looking elegant in a white coat as she spent the evening with her family having dinner at a London restaurant.
Later on, she went to a party at a club with sister Pippa until the small hours.
One party goer said at the time, “Kate looked absolutely radiant.
She lit up the room with her smile and was clearly determined to have a great time, with or without her boyfriend.”
This year, Prince William made sure to make up for past absences by organising a tea party for Kate at their country home.
According to sources, the couple's children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, were also present to celebrate their mother's special day.
Although it is unclear what other gift William gave on this occasion, he has mentioned giving gifts to his wife in the past.
Last year, William told a hilarious anecdote about a previous present he had purchased for Kate as he discussed his life with footballer Peter Crouch.
Speaking on That Peter Crouch Podcast, he said he had given Kate a pair of binoculars early on in their courtship, adding, “I was trying to convince myself about it.
I was like, but these are really amazing.
