Kate Middleton’s Fashion Statement: Why She Loves to Recycle Her Looks
The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, has been spotted wearing a jacket she has worn before while attending a church service near Balmoral with the Queen, Prince Philip, and Prince William.
The burgundy-coloured Hobbs jacket was first seen on Kate back in 2012 and is currently priced at £369.
Despite being known as the unofficial Queen of Style, Kate has no qualms about recycling her looks.
But why does she do it?
According to fashion writer Simon Glazing, there may be more to Kate's wardrobe repeating than just her love for bargains.
He believes that it could be to make her more relatable to the public.

There have been numerous reports about the Duchess and Prince William's spending habits, so it's possible that Kate is trying to be thrifty with her wardrobe to avoid any negative press.
However, there are other reasons why Kate dresses the way she does.
For instance, she is rarely seen without a clutch bag at official engagements.
According to Micah Meyer, the founder of Beaumont Etiquette, Kate holds her bag in front of her in both hands when shaking hands might be awkward.
While a clutch bag might be a good excuse to avoid uncomfortable situations, there is a host of things the Duchess needs to remember to do when holding them.
Micah revealed that there is certain etiquette a royal must uphold when donning a clutch.
If Kate needs the use of one hand, she can place the clutch bag in the other hand, but it should never be tucked under an arm or placed on the ground or table.
It seems that even the smallest details matter when it comes to royal protocol.
Despite the strict rules, Kate manages to make her old looks come off as entirely new ensembles.
