Meghan Markle Snubbed From Oprah’s 69th Birthday Bash

It was a star-studded celebration as several figures from the entertainment industry sent their best wishes to Oprah on her 69th birthday this past weekend.

However, one noticeable absence from the guest list was her best friend and confidant, .

A-list megastars gathered to celebrate the TV icon's birthday, which was organized by Anastasia Beverly Hills in unison with the brand's 25th anniversary.

Kim Kardashian was in attendance, posting some pictures on her Instagram story with the caption “Happy birthday, Oprah.”

Sharon Stone toasted Oprah, stating that she means the world to the world.

Oprah was featured in a photo shared to the account of her good friend Gayle King, in which the two stretched out their arms while partially embracing.

The 68-year-old broadcast journalist also penned a short message in a post's caption, expressing her affection for a long-time friend.

Kerry Washington shared a selfie that she took with Oprah in what appeared to be a dressing room.

Laurie Harvey, who was also present at the get-together, shared a video of the philanthropist being presented with a cake.

Lupita Nyong'o shared a shot of herself spending time with Oprah, writing that “we hold closely to the brilliant wisdom that you share.”

Viola Davis described a close friend as a national treasure and an icon in an affectionate message.

Alessandra Ambrioso shared a shot of herself spending time with the birthday queen, as well as Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara.

Garcelle Beauvoir affectionately referred to the television mainstay as Lady O in a post that was shared to her Instagram story.

Ashley Tisdale and Priyanka Chopra were also in attendance, but Meghan wasn't invited.

This snub has led to speculation that the exclusion was an act of racism or unconscious bias.

Is Meghan at home crying on the kitchen floor after patiently waiting by the mailbox all weekend?

It seems that Mr. and Mrs. Markle's loud mouths are now being used against them, after a series of similar incidents over the last few years.

On a more serious note, snubs like this show that the tide is turning for the Sussexes, and that the gamble that saw them trade in the lifelong duty of being working royalty for the money and fame of being celebrities hasn't quite paid off.

Three months ago, commentator Cara Kennedy claimed that and are slowly being frozen out of Hollywood.

She said it takes charisma, dedication, and charm to become a Hollywood power couple.

The Sussexes were also omitted from the guest list to Barack Obama's 60th birthday, which was a hotspot for philanthropic Hollywood stars such as George Clooney, Jay-Z, and Beyonce, figures that Harry and Meghan are modeling themselves off.

At the time, Royal Watchers speculated that the Obamas pulled back because they were unhappy with the Sussexes' very public falling out with the rest of the royal family in the months prior.

It's easy to see why Oprah wouldn't want the pair at a birthday shindig after Harry's latest revelations.

During his press tour for the Duke's Memoir Spare, nearly three years on from the bombshell interview with Oprah, he made her look stupid.

On national TV during a two-hour interview where the couple managed to tell 17 lies, they planted a seed that would see the British royal family branded as terrible racists.

Oprah's audible gasps and a lack of pushback to the Sussexes' unfounded claims exasperated the storyline even further.

“Were you silent or silenced?”

became one of the most recognizable soundbites of the year.

Meghan's fake tears combined with Oprah's sympathetic expression to stick the knife in further.

The interview was not an attempt to speak truth, nor was it an attempt at reconciliation.

This was Harry and Meghan's campaign to finish off the British monarchy, and they used Oprah as a pawn.
