Prince Charles stopped taking Prince Harry’s calls due to his son’s constant requests for more money, according to royal commentators Emily Andrews and Angela Levin during a Channel 5 documentary titled Charles and Harry.

Ms Andrews explained that Prince Charles is not one to enjoy confrontation, so he simply stopped answering his son's calls.

As Prince Charles does not use a mobile phone, Prince Harry would have to call the switchboard and ask to be put through to him.

Ms Levin added that while Prince Charles loves his son, there comes a time when you have to say enough is enough, and that was it.

During an interview with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021, Prince Harry claimed that his family had cut him off financially and he had to afford security for himself and his wife.

Since leaving the monarchy, Prince Harry has made several explosive remarks about his relationship with his father, Prince Charles.

These remarks were made during interviews with Oprah and on the Armchair Expert podcast.

According to royal commentator Katie Nicholl, Prince Harry is happy with the reception his recent remarks have received.

Ms Nicholl told ET that Prince Harry's latest swipe at Prince Charles' parenting during the Armchair Expert podcast has raised eyebrows at the Palace.

She said that it is surprising to have Prince Harry openly criticize his father and possibly even his grandparents instead of building bridges.

Ms Nicholl added that Prince Harry anticipated the backlash from the British press and feels that both the Oprah interview and the recent podcast have been well-received.

Prince Harry's remarks have caused shock in the UK, as he has gone as far as criticizing his father publicly.

The Duke of Sussex's relationship with the Royal Family has been strained since he and his wife, Meghan Markle, stepped down as senior royals in 2020.

During the Oprah interview, Prince Harry discussed the pain and suffering he experienced during his childhood in the Royal Family.

He also revealed that there were concerns about the skin color of his unborn child.
