Prince Harry Buys First Edition Winnie the Pooh for Nephew Louis’ Christening
Prince Harry has purchased a first edition Winnie the Pooh book for his nephew, Prince Louis' christening.
The Sun reports that the newlywed paid around £8,000 for the book and plans to start an exclusive library for the young prince.
According to a friend, Harry wants to create a tribute to his late mother, Princess Diana, who loved reading bedtime stories to him when he was a child.
The Duke of Sussex has fond memories of his mother reading him classic stories before bed.
He wanted to share this experience with his nephew by creating a little library of first editions for Louis, as well as his other young nieces and nephews, Charlotte and George, to enjoy as they grow older.
Initially, Harry had his eye on Lewis Carroll's Through the Looking Glass, which was on sale for £24,000, but he decided that Winnie the Pooh would be more suitable for the young prince's first home.

Although Robinson Crusoe was William's favourite book, Harry loved all things A.A. Milne, so he opted for the 1926 A.A. Milne book instead.
The book, of which 30,000 were printed in the first run, was purchased from Peter Harrington in London.
Harry is said to be planning to start an exclusive library for his young family members, and this book is just the beginning.
The christening ceremony will take place in the Chapel Royal at St James's Palace, and will be an intimate affair with only 20 to 30 people in attendance.
Zara and Mike Tyndall are expected to showcase their new daughter, Lena, at the event.
