Prince Harry Refused Jack Whitehall’s Handshake Offer After Jokes About Royals
Newly discovered footage has revealed that Prince Harry once turned down Jack Whitehall's handshake offer after the comedian made jokes about the Royals.
Jack is known for his cheeky sense of humor and does not always filter his comedy routines for his audience, even when royalty is present.
One such occasion came at the Royal Variety Performance in 2015 when Jack was hosting the charity gala.
The comic roasted Prince Harry, who was in the audience for the evening's entertainment at London's Royal Albert Hall.
During his opening routine at the Royal Variety, the comedian took aim at Harry's military service in Afghanistan and the Prince's red-headed complexion.
Addressing Harry from the stage, Jack said he was not belittling the Prince's amazing achievement.

However, he then added, “What you did in Afghanistan, the bravery, a ginger guy in that heat, wow.
The first time you get a Victoria Cross just for stepping out of the shade.”
In another segment, the comedian said he wanted to offer up his services as Royal Wingman to Harry, pledging to put in a good word for him with some of the night's acts, who included Kacey Musgraves and Little Mix.
However, Harry appeared to get his own back on Jack as he refused to shake his hand after the show, which was broadcast on ITV.
Shortly after, the Royal then turned back to share a laugh with Jack and shook his hand.
The incident took place the year before Harry began dating Meghan, and Jack also poked fun at the Prince still being single.
The annual event is in aid of the Queen's Royal Variety Charity, which helps people from the arts who are in need of care and assistance.
However, concerns have reportedly been raised in the palace about the impact Prince Harry's memoir will have on the future king, Prince Charles.
After the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced that they would be stepping down from senior working roles in January 2020, Prince Charles and Prince Harry's relationship has been strained.
During a tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey in March this year, Prince Harry claimed that his father had stopped taking his calls and that he had cut him off financially.
And given that Harry is set to publish an intimate and heartfelt memoir about his life experiences in the public eye from childhood to the present day, it is alleged that concerns have arisen about what the impact the book may have on the heir apparent.
According to royal expert Richard Kaye, there are anxieties that the book, which is to be released in late 2022, will chip away at the future king's reputation and the efforts that have been made to try and win the public over in recent years.
Appearing on podcast Palace Confidential, Kaye explained, “I think the difficulty for Prince Charles, every time now Harry opens his mouth, he's seen to chip away at his father's credibility.
And this must be undermining their relationship.”
After receiving a £15 million advance from publishers, royal insiders have told that the 37-year-old is under pressure to identify the family member he reports made racist remarks about Archie's skin colour.
But we do know he has spent some time digging into his mother's relationship with his father.
“They must be dreading the publication of that book and what it will mean.
We're edging closer to the Prince of Wales becoming monarch and every time these embarrassing situations erupt with his son, it reminds people about why they have had problems with the prospect of Charles as king,” Richard added.
